Guest Thomas I believe
Brothers and Sisters, Last night I heard this subject come up ? And I have been thinking about it ever since . I am not sure how I feel about this for sure ! women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. Guest Thomas I believe
Sorry one more thing. I may have been a bit unclear. The subject I heard last night was titled "Women in Minsitry" So my true question is Womens roles in ministry Vs. Women In the Church . Does that make sense ? You may wish to read a sermon by John MacArthur. http://www.biblebb.com/files/MAC/womensroles.htm Blessings
Guest Thomas I believe
Russell, Thanks for the link, I will go back later and disect what I read. My biggest conflict with this subject is there seems to be so much division on this subject. Is this division among just certain churches or churchs as a whole. Like I said in my initial post, I have been touched and ministered to by women that i have known over the years. I beleive that two of these women would have made great pastors. The one told me specifically she could never do that, though i am not sure what was behind her decision. She chose to be a quiet but powerful minister through the prayer group that she was in charge of. Thanks again for the link. It's a good idea to read what has already been said, rather than to try to hash out this subject again. LT

Hopefully, others will read the previous info, too before this innocent question turns into another firestorm.

One of my favourite topics. Where's the matches? Read the bible I'd say. I believe this; GE 2:18 The LORD God said, "It is not good for the man to be alone. I will make a helper suitable for him." That the Church have been without their better halfs too long. We have all been the losers in this. Women should take up the yoke and pull their weight. We need a whole Church. Since we are all one in Christ anything that stops one of the Royal Priesthood from fulfilling her role is sin and diminishes all of us. But I am afraid it will be the women who cause the most strife here because they like the easy life! women should remain silent in the churches. They are not allowed to speak, but must be in submission, as the Law says. 1 Corinthians 14:34 So the Amen must be said in their head? johnp.
