Dont get drunk! I did infact get drunk a few times when I was in my early 20s and the next day was God's little reminder that he was not pleased. I thank God for those awful awful hangovers. They were just what I needed. I don't wan't anymore time in that woodshed!

That's the idea anyway.

Guest Gromore
Coming from a denomination that abstains from alcohol it has been interesting to read the threads. There are many reasons why we as a church abstain. Firstly we do not condemn others who do like to drink. It is each individuals choice. We choose not to drink as we believe that if our bodies are temples then we should look after them. This goes for food as well. (No we don't abstain from that!) Our denomination took a stand against alcohol because it was so freely available in Victorian England that many men and women were so intoxicated that families and lives were being wrecked. When they got saved and dried out the last thing the opportunity to have 'a little', so it was agreed that total abstinence was best. I don't think the problem has gone away. But I hasten to add we enjoy socialising, and are quite happy with 'soft' drinks, you can still enjoy yourself (and remember it!).

If more people were like you, the Body of Christ would actually get along.
