The Holy Spirit did not put Words in the Bible that were so hard to understand the one needs a degree in theology to understand.

No one needs a degree in theology to come to understand man’s lies about the written Word of God.

I guess those Bereans just didn't get it....

So I guess you've got Daniel and Revelation all sewn up then?

The Bible itself commends study....of the Bible....sometimes understanding turns out to be more of a misunderstanding

Is there a gift given to anyone that ensures that the holder thereof needs no correction?  I'm certainly not aware of such a gift nor has the Holy Spirit ever said to me that He

has endowed some with perfect knowledge in spite of the fact that even Paul said we do not see things clearly

You should be able to understand that if one is being taught and receiving the grace from the Holy Spirit, and is also being led by Jesus Christ our Lord and God, that he or she does not need to listen to anyone else.

Jesus has shown himself to me, and has called me out by name.

Do you consider a special dispensation here?

God has written in the Lamb's Book of Life the names of ALL who are His.

I have the impression you may believe you have some sort of a relationship that is unique and yet God declares we are all of individual and special interest to Him.

I think you may be kind of skating on thin ice and are going to fast to see the signs

Actually no I dont think he is, there is truth to what he says. when I became saved I didnt want to be taught by others who god is or what it means to be a Christian because I figured who better to teach me than God himself? so with my bible and Christian music I secluded my self in my room for months to seek God learn who he is and build a true relationship with him and I had many encounters with God in my roim I even felt the holy spirit fill my room. i could almost see it I would walk out of my room to eat or something and the presence could be felt but the second I stepped in my room there he was filling my room.

John never claimed to be special and was being honest and honestly your assumption was not cool

You have made some assumptions, and I don't believe they deserve any response.

A Christian is given the Holy Spirit to teach him or her everything.  Why would one who has the Holy Spirit need to study scripture?  All one needs to do is ask the Holy Spirit/Jesus and he or she will be given the truth.

This is completely contrary to the council of God in His Word. 1Cor 12 speaks

of individual gifting to a fulfilled usefulness of building up the whole body.

This is further laid out as specific to topic of learning God's Word:

Eph 3:7-8

7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace

of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. 8 Unto me,

who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I

should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

KJV

Col 1:25-29

25 Whereof I am made a minister, according to the dispensation of God

which is given to me for you, to fulfil the word of God; 26 Even the

mystery which hath been hid from ages and from generations, but now is

made manifest to his saints: 27 To whom God would make known what is

the riches of the glory of this mystery among the Gentiles; which is

Christ in you, the hope of glory: 28 Whom we preach, warning every man,

and teaching every man in all wisdom; that we may present every man

perfect in Christ Jesus: 29 Whereunto I also labour, striving according

to his working, which worketh in me mightily.

KJV

Jer 3:15

15 And I will give you pastors according to mine heart, which shall

feed you with knowledge and understanding.

KJV

Eph 4:11-13

11 And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists;

and some, pastors and teachers; 12 For the perfecting of the saints, for

the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: 13 Till

we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of

God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness

of Christ:

KJV

All of us know God works through those called according to His(God)purpose to instruct

according to The Spirit within them fulfilling the Word of promise above... whoever has

beguiled you otherwise is outside of the instruction of God's Word! Love, Steven

You quote much scripture, but it escapes me as to what you seem to be saying.

It seems you talk about gifts of the Holy Spirit, and offices of the Church.

Yet what is the Church of God’s?

I personally believe the Church of God are those who live the whole Word of God.

Yet the only Church with any authority form God, is the Roman Catholic/Greek Orthodox.

Their bishops have the authority of an apostle, even though they, because the Church no longer teaches God whole Word, have not any of the powers of an apostle.

It is not my point to belittle you or make you ashamed! However what you have written is

contrary to what you have stated God The Holy Spirit does within you!

How do I need to say anything when it is Scripture that is quoted? What does

The Holy Spirit say these passages mean? Love, Steven

Sevenseas made the assumption tat John saw himself special to the lord when he made no such claim nor did he insinuate so either. that is why i said what i said its unfair to assume a person is talking highly of themselves when they were only describing their thoughts and experiences on a subject.
