The eight legs, the hair, the fangs, the many eyes....it was just so creepy. Then I encountered my fear in a correctional facility when a hairy wolf spider came into the cell. Suddenly I realized my perception of these gentle creatures was way off. By not running away from the fear I fell in love with it. If you haven't held a turantuala you totally gotta do so. These creatures are amazing and God's gift to earth as the best natural insecticide. One passion of mine is to go about the cities getting people to hold them and overcome their fear. Giving away my pink salmon bird eater. That is not as big as they get but they are the second largest species for potential body weight and third largest for leg span. This applies to Scripture for the Bible tells us to not be afraid more than 365 times.
