Bear in mind that the stuff that has been passed around on the internet about the "Jewish wedding customs"  is fabricated, completely made up.  If you using that as a filter through which to interpret Scripture, you are way off left field.

No, it's not.

The Jews keep the same, nearly the same, customs today that they did 4000 years ago.

Apparently you hate the Jews? Otherwise you would study from them.

I should not even dignify your accusation with a response.

I am not a member of any cult.

I study the same bible you do.

I spent more than 30 years in the 'church', there is nothing you will throw at me that I'm not aware of.

The stuff you are promoting is nonsense and I have heard it all for the last 25 years.   It's same warmed over, sloppy, incompetent theology that people who know just enough about the Bible to be dangerous, promote.

Again, I reject theologies and doctrines.

I study what the Word says.

I AM Jewish.  I know the history and traditions of my people and the stuff you promote is untrue.  It has been passed around from preacher to preacher for decades now and Christians don't fact check anything these days, it seems.  There is a whole host of stuff that amounts to Christian oral tradition that too many never question.    The Jewish wedding customs is one of those things.  I have heard one sermon after another on it and it is nonsense.

Surely you've heard of the 'dark ages'?

Who had your NT for the first 1300 years?

I haven't provided you any doctrines to reject.   You are the one promoting doctrines that are not true.   I am a biblical literalist and you are not.   What you have is nothing short of a bargain basement theology that anyone who is truly born again should reject.

OK.

I'm not arguing with you for the sake of arguing.

I post what I post for the sake of others.

Nor am I 'promoting' anything other than what the Word says.

What exactly are you talking about?  And why is that relevant?

This is the problem, the bible is not to be taken literally, not as you suggest.

The bible is a riddle, riddles within riddles.

This I have proof from God's own mouth.

You are NOT promoting the Word of God.   You are promoting false doctrine and it is my goal to make sure no one listens to you, that your teachings are rejected on this board so that you have zero influence and to make your posts a waste of your time.
