The fact that it is being ignored by modern American history. We fought Hitler in WWII and I have read textbooks where Hitler was portrayed as a misunderstood figure. Some today see Mein Kampf in a different light, making it less evil than it really is. This touches our history and makes us less prepared for when a new "Hitler" will rise up in our generation. In Mein Kampf Hitler made his intentions known. It was no secret that he wanted to dominate the world with his master race and that he planned to eventually take over the US. But he made no secret of his plan to eventually takeover America. It was in the works. Had we not stopped in Europe, we would have had to fight him over here. Everything Hitler was doing was based on the doctrines he espoused in that book. It had direct effect on us. We lost hundreds of thousands of men and women fighting Hitler.
