so you are saying the Roman Catholic Church say you have to earn your salvation

I would really appreciate it if you would stop lying.
It's not only annoying - it illustrates your rebellion against God's commandment against it.

I NEVER said that we earn our salvation.  I said just the OPPOSITE.
I said:
Easy-believism is heresy.
Works salvation is heresy.

Does that sound like I said something about earning our salvation??

first of all please don't accuse me of lying- I was simply asking you questions- there is also a commandment against false witness. In light of scripture I was aking you to define the  RCC dogma on salvation.  I am sorry if you find me annoying, but you did say you are here to dispel anti- catholic myths and false hoods.

I also believe works salvation is heresy, and 1-2-3 pray with me salvation is just as bad. Salvation is a gift of the Holy Spirit and can not be counterfeited by emotion or physical action.

and- I am not overly insulted but you have called me a liar, an ignoramus, and a moron. In christian love I would suggesst you go back and edit that out of your posts, if a MOD sees that you will get a nasty gram and be booted from this thread

It's not how YOU or I see the Gospel.  It is what it IS.

No not really, but that's ok. Let's depart here. This is exhausting. Goodbye.

I didn't say that - JESUS did:
Mark 16:16
"He who believes and is BAPTIZED shall be saved."

I thought you knew him??
How could you know Him if you don't know God's Word

John the Baptist clarifies the meaning of the Baptism that a believer must have to be saved- it is not any form of water Baptism, it is the spiritual immersion into the character of God Himself- ( check the definition of the word baptize- it means to submerge, but not necessarily in water)

"I indeed have baptized you with water: but he shall baptize you with the Holy Spirit." yes I agree  a person MUST be baptized to see the kingdom of God- but it is not a Baptism of hands- as Jesus told Nicodemus- you can not see how the Spirit moves, but it is powerful. This Baptism is what produces the works of god in a persons life, but it does not occur until a person believes unto salvation

Can you point me to the posts where I called you a "moron"??
No - you can't.  That is a bald face lie.

I have NEVER called you a derogatory name so stop violating God's Commandment against bearing false witness.
If you can show me where I call YOU or anybody else either of these names - I will leave this forum voluntarily.

It's always exhausting to be proven wrong.

The Gospel is what it is.
It does not conform to what YOU think it should be . . .

That's NOT what Jesus said.
Jesus told Nicodemus that a person must be born from WATER and Spirit (John 3:5) or they cannot enter the Kingdom of God.

again you misread scritpture- Jesus was talking about a second birth ( born again) by the spirit, and there must be a first birth ( natural birth) born of water -- when the natal water sack breaks--- nothing to do with baptism

James text did not include "Ignoramus" or Moron- it is obvious you added the the word of God as a comment on me

WRONG.
The New American Bible uses the term "IGNORAMUS" in this passage.
Secondly - I was showing you what James was saying to his READERS - not to YOU personally.

Learn how to understand Scripture and stop blaming ME for what it says.
