Also, God tells us we are to support Israel so the detractors should go argue with Him. I don't think school lunch or breakfast programs should be cut whatsoever nor Meals on Wheels. But the Arts? Like you said, let those that want such things support them. This is how you further divide and stratify society, those with the means and the resources get further ahead while those without fall further behind.
