Since Kim Jong Un has declared he is going to develop a weapon capable of reaching the U.S. mainland the 'right' is irrelevant.  We need to do what is best for us, the S. Koreans, the Japanese, etc.  Would you have us just sit and wait until they can strike one of our cities?  Weakness doesn't make one any friends, R.G.

Lots of people declare lots of things, is someone talking trash now enough to attack a sovereign nation?   Did we learn nothing from Iraq?

he has made his intentions known, to however, and virtually every missile test has been aimed at america-or japan.  I would not stand around a angry drunk with a gun and wait for him to start shooting either....especially if hes spewing threats left and right.

Well, the next time an angry drunk is talking trash to you, shoot him and see how that works out for you.

That's putting the cart before the horse. Who has said we were going to attack N.Korea?  I must have missed it if someone in Washington said that.

I think that was an illustrative comment, RG, one full of metaphors.  Let's all stay on the same wave length here.

How else is our military going to stop them, ask nicely?

No, that wouldn't work as we've seen in the past.  I'm for cyberattacks and subversion.  Much less bloody but just as effective.

And Iraq should not be allowed to have WMDs...how did that work out for the US?

Not a real valid comparison. The crazy fat kid has nukes and appears crazy enough to use them if he can get them on a missile.   We need to assume his stated intentions are genuine and destroy his capabilities to carry them out.   He should not have nukes and we need to make sure he doesn't have them.
