Come Let Us Reimagine, i.e Reinvent…

Since the Lord leads this work here at AM to also aim at exposing the severe spiritual errors of the Emerging Church movement as well, it’s critical here that we have now firmly established Guru Richard Foster is undoubtedly a “key” mentor and a primary source within the Emergent Church on CSM and this alleged “Christian” mystical tradition.

RICHARD FOSTER SAYS BIBLE RELIABLE GUIDE DESPITE "INCONSISTENCIES" : Apprising Ministries

But what we’re actually dealing with is really a romanticized version of Roman Catholic Counter Reformation spirituality, which is itself essentially a neo-Gnosticism.

This is EXACTLY how a DEVIL comes in.   He acts like the bible is good, but makes mention of errors.

Have nothing to do with the works of darkness, but rather EXPOSE them.   WARN OUT SISTER < WARN OUT and keep on warning.

"[W]e must be willing to go down into the recreating silences, into the inner world of contemplation. In their writings, all of the masters of meditation strive to awaken us to the fact that the universe is much larger than we know, that there are vast unexplored inner regions that are just as real as the physical world we know so well. They tell us of exciting possibilities for new life and freedom. They call us to the adventure, to be pioneers in this frontier of the Spirit." (Celebration of Discipline, 1980, p. 13.)

What is scary is that his book was a huge best seller amongst evangelicals and leaders in the '80's. Almost every pastor had a copy.

Oh yea, they been at work for a time now.  NEXT MOVE to the churches will be false prophets saying ITS TIME FOR WORLD PEACE and unity, etc mindset.

ITS GONNA MUSHROOM fast .  watch for it.  its a lie from hades of course but watch HOW FAST faiths and other religions will be holding hands as ONE, with the world as well.

THIS move will lead RIGHT to the beast .    RIGHT TO IT.

New International Version-Isaiah 2:6
You, LORD, have abandoned your people, the descendants of Jacob. They are full of superstitions from the East; they practice divination like the Philistines and embrace pagan customs.

the eastern "religion" has been an influence since the beginning

New International Version Jeremiah 51:45
"Come out of her, my people! Run for your lives! Run from the fierce anger of the LORD.

Revelation 18:4
Then I heard another voice from heaven say: "Come out of her, my people, so that you will not share in her sins or contract any of her plagues.

There have always been false prophets and false teachers around. But I'm here to tell ya, this emergent church movement, the feel good Gospel, the prosperity Gospel and the penetration of false Gospels and political correctness into our churches, just in the last twenty years is mind boggling and exponential. When I was growing up and a young adult, I couldn't have imagined the changes that are taking place in our churches today.

ah thankyou Dennis this brings me neatly on to

Clement of Alexandria and the Beginnings of Christian Apophaticism.

http://readthefathers.org/2013/03/02/clement-of-alexandria/

The life and career of Titus Flavius Clement mark the ascendancy of Alexandrian theology. Whereas Clement’s contemporary, the sarcastic Latin lawyer Tertullian (whom we read next) famously asked, “What hath Athens to do with Jerusalem?” the Alexandrians answered that pagan philosophy had a vital role to play in bringing the world to Christian faith. For better or worse, Clement had an almost reckless confidence that pagan philosophy was the underpinning of Christian truth, so that Christ fulfilled not only the law of Moses but also the myriad attempts of pagan thought to discern the immutable nature of all things true, good, and beautiful.

is this just me or is this just so wrong?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Clement_of_Alexandria

Clement was influenced by Hellenistic philosophy to a greater extent than any other Christian thinker of his time, and in particular by Plato and the Stoics.[2] His secret works, which exist only in fragments, suggest that he was also familiar with pre-Christian Jewish esotericism and Gnosticism

 ....................................................................................................................

Basel et vasentinus

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Valentinus_(Gnostic)

Epiphanius wrote (ca. 390) that he learned through word of mouth (although he acknowledged that it was a disputed point) that Valentinus was born in Phrebonis in the Nile Delta, and thus was a native of Paralia in Egypt, and received his Greek education in nearby Alexandria, an important and metropolitan early center of Christianity.[4] There he may have heard the Christian philosopher Basilides and certainly became conversant with Hellenistic Middle Platonism

Valentinus had expected to become a bishop, because he was an able man both in genius and eloquence. Being indignant, however, that another obtained the dignity by reason of a claim which confessorship had given him, he broke with the church of the true faith. Just like those (restless) spirits which, when roused by ambition, are usually inflamed with the desire of revenge, he applied himself with all his might to exterminate the truth; and finding the clue of a certain old opinion, he marked out a path for himself with the subtlety of a serpent.
