My Lord and Savior Jesus Christ said:
"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you." - Matthew 7:7

It offends me greatly when I see people, some even Christians, saying that we should not ask good things from the Father.

The Lord Jesus Himself said:
"And whatever you ask in My name, that I will do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son.
If you ask anything in My name, I will do it." - John 14:13-14

Then, my friend, only Satan would try to discourage you to ask good things from the Father in the name of the Lord Jesus.

What we see today is that some deceived Christians are not asking, and simply waiting to fall from heaven.

If you do not seek, if you do not ask, if you do not believe, you will not receive.

"But without faith it is impossible to please Him,
for he who comes to God must believe that He is,
and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him." - Hebrews 11:6

That is why we see so many Christians, some even say they are Christians for many years.

But they are still not completely free from evil desires of the flesh and its addictions: smoking, drinking, porn, etc.

"Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us." - 1 John 5:14

And I can tell you without a shadow of doubt: They are not yet free because they do not ask and seek.

Because I have learned from the Lord Jesus, I am a Christian for a little more than a year, and I have been set free from these evil things: Glory to God!

Then the truth is that if we seek, if we ask, He will give to us:

"If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children,
how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him!" - Matthew 7:11

Then, not to ask and discourage others to do so, I can say without a shadow of doubt: It is a strategy of Satan.

Because, if they do not ask anything they will also not receive the Holy Spirit; because their hearts are not for Him.

And I tell you: Satan does not play.

People may pretend to be Christians, people may pretend to be followers of Christ, but the devil does not pretend to be evil, he is evil.

The devil is 100% evil and wants you to go to hell; wholeheartedly he desires this. Will you follow him?!

If you do not want to follow the devil, then receive the Lord Jesus; wholeheartedly.

God is not mocked, he knows all the hearts. If your heart is not for Him, He will not come and reveal Himself to you.

"Jesus answered and said to him,
If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him,
and We will come to him and make Our home with him." - John 14:23

The Lord Jesus calls you today, now, at this time.

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest." - Matthew 11:28

Your time to be free has come, and it is NOW.

In the name of the Lord Jesus: "If you do this you will be free immediately".

If you do not want... You will not do it.

"But you do not believe, because you are not of My sheep, as I said to you." - John 10:26

If you want to be free, if you want to love the Lord Jesus then do it, because: YOU WILL BE FREE INDEED!

You will bring your hands to your head, and say: "Lord Jesus, set me free!"

You are now FREE, and for the glory of God.

"And my speech and my preaching were not with persuasive words of human wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power,
that your faith should not be in the wisdom of men but in the power of God." - 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

Glory to God! Amen.

There seems to be a number of factors when it comes to prayer.....for example there is an aspect that prayer often requires perseverence, it isn't always a case of receiving an instant answer.  I sometimes think of it like cranking the engine of one of those old cars.......it sometimes takes a while before the engine starts to turn over and we start seeing the answers.  There is also the aspect that while Jesus had the Spirit without measure........as individual members we all receive a measure of faith and not all have gifts of healing, or evangelism, or miracles...etc.  There is also an aspect of spiritual warfare as well where answers can be delayed.  Just some things that came to mind with regard to prayer.
