I don't think so. That implies the man has the right and responsibility to discipline the child too, a really poor concept and danger for the child. Few men enjoy another man's child be part of their questing for a woman . It leads to way too much pressure for many men and they then act unkindly to the child, even physically punishing and sexually abusing the child. It is a dangerous situation. Better the woman keep her child as her sole responsibilty and keep strange men far from her children.

Do your homework. Read in every relationship in the Bible that did not subscribe to the Divine model (one man, one woman, one lifetime... no sex outside of the commitment of marriage), and you will see dysfunction, suffering, envy, jealousy, even murder. King David (whose polygamy could not hold a candle to his son Solomon) did not know the love of one woman because he had multiple wives. And David said that the friendship love of Jonathan son of King Saul was better to him than the love of women. ```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` People have lneliness, I get it. We all have strong sexual needs, we all get it. This is not to judge you or anyone else! This is only to prepare you for the rough row to hoe that is ahead. ```````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````````` My father passed away when I was 11 (the eldest of four children) in 1972. Mum was not a believer (or severely backslidden most of her life) she had multiple marriages after... an abortion that nearly killed her, her children ran amok (and that was when I was the victim of a sexual predator male in his 40's). So I suppose the best way to answer the question is to ask a question: How committed are you to raising your child in an environment devoid of all of the above? I think If someone is in the child's life all the time and the whole time he deserves to be called father.
