A covenant is a contract between two parties..

The OT was a covenant between the descendants of Israel and God..

A Contract once broken by one of the parties can be canceled..

The terms of the Old Covenant where broken by the Jewish people..

A new Contract was then created By God through the LORD Jesus Christ..

Jews and gentiles are now free to put their names onto the New Covenant / contract..

Genesis 17:7

It says "everlasting"

God has set the terms:

Ever lasting.

I often don't realise the time differences between us.

Good night folks!

Only if The Jews kept their part of the agreement...  God intention was to have it as an everlasting contract.. But again the Jews broke the terms of the contract..

No. God is not subservient to man.

God says (not man says:)

Ever Lasting!

Try reading the passage of Genius 17 in context and realize it is not talking about the covenant established with Moses..  This was God talking to Abraham thousands of years before Moses.. The Covenant was between a different covenant..  Please go and read it and see.. verse 1 to verse 14..

I have read it.

It still does not change the terms:

Everlasting.
