Next thing you know, someone will be claiming flannelgraph is evil <{POST_SNAPBACK}> King George and the rubber ducky? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It's a way to get the same story across through a medium that kids understand. It's not saying "this is exactly how the story happened," but "this is how it applies to you, kids!" I don't see anything blasphemous about that. It's just like saying "God is the boss of the superheroes!" You don't see those words in the Bible expressed the exact same way, but the concept remains the same

Can you imagine telling the part of Vashti in the story of Esther to the children.. ? Oh yes.. my dear little ones.. she refused to dance naked in front of a room full of druken men only wearing her crown... or telling the REAL story behind King George and Ducky... YIKES.. might as well have them watch the spike channel.... well yeah. .thats extreme but you get my drift.. anyway.. I think its great how the veggie Tales tells the biblical stories.. minus the violence and and debauchery .. They will learn the real story when they are old enough to handle it.. It was awesome.

Can Do (Phil 4:13) Posted August 19, 2005 Group: Diamond Member Followers: 2 Topic Count: 227 Topics Per Day: 0.03 Content Count: 1,004 Content Per Day: 0.14 Reputation: 9 Days Won: 0 Joined: 03/30/2004 Status: Offline Birthday: 01/31/1906 Share Posted August 19, 2005 To me (and this is JUST MHO), teaching kids about superhero's is tantamount to telling the same lies parents feed their children about Satan Claus. If children want role models, there are PLENTY REAL LIFE hero's such as Brother Yun, Max Lucado, Joni Earkison Tada (sp?) and Nancy Alcorn, who have real life testimonies of Gods TRUTH and grace upon their lives. Why do hero's HAVE to be fictional I'd rather teach my children that REAL people can do EXTRAORDINARY things in the Name of Christ and THROUGH the Holy Spirit.
