It is simply this. A Confrontation, A Quarrel, a fall out. A Scuffle, A fight, a come to blows. A Brawl, A clash, a battle. Day after day With the intention to, by no means , love. Guest LadyC
"A strong man armed, keepeth his house...." --Jesus <{POST_SNAPBACK}> AMEN! there is often so much emphasis put on the fact that war is not about love, that people forget that the ultimate expression of love is being willing to lay down one's life to protect others. that is, after all, what Jesus did for us, in the biggest war of all, the war against evil, the war for our souls. from the earliest books of recorded history, i.e. the Bible itself, God was leading His people into war, to protect their land and their lives. in the NT, he grants the government of nations to lead its people into war to protect the land and lives of its citizens. Guest charlie
I would go on the front lines for you too Constant and anyone else here. I would not go on the front lines so Exxon, Mobile, Shell, or Haliburton executives can get richer. Edited July 3, 2005 by charlie

But long enough to have to fill up my tank twice. At $2.27 a gallon. War for oil? Gimme a break. As for the OP - Day after day With the intention to, by no means , love. When the intention is to protect, that is love.
Guest charlie
War for oil? Gimme a break. Whoever controlls the oil controlls the price. (Shadow-to be explained it for me.) It's about monopolies; it's not about saving you and me money at the gas tank. Edited July 3, 2005 by charlie

And I don't buy into the conspiracy theories regarding those who control certain things in the world. But, then again, we'll probably never agree about the war anyway. Guest charlie
And I don't buy into the conspiracy theories regarding those who control certain things in the world. I'm not sure I know what you mean. I tend to believe conspiracies are nothing more than back door business deals or back door business deals gone wrong. I do believe in monopolies; that's why we *supposedly* have anti-trust laws but that doesn't seem to have stopped companies from merging all the time. It's happened with news outlets in recent years; Shadow-To-Be reminded me about a couple of oil companies merging about 3 years ago; I'm sure it's happening all over with lots of companies. On the outside you might have 2 or 3 company names on products when really they've been bought out and are now owned by one company. I don't know what if anything is going on with anti-trust laws today; or if there even are any on the books anymore.
