How many have been betrayed by a fellow Christian?

Raise your hands.

How do people who believe in Jesus sometimes find themselves doing the

devil's work?

Because we are all human. And we generally do not prepare for the way our human

nature can lead us astray...

We rarely discipline our natures

and even more rarely seek out the spiritual way and abide by it.

We give into our flesh / humanistic reasoning... and we

actually at times oppose God (Matthew 16:16-23 for example... not to mention he denied Jesus 3 times).

We are more like Peter than Paul... most of us.

So...

BEWARE!

I love the title of your conversation, and the analogy is good. You can't help but notice that in the ministry of our Lord it wasn't the Lost and Alone that attacked him and desired his death, it was the religious leaders of his time.

How many have been betrayed by a fellow Christian? I have been helped by so many of my Lord's servants, it is a awesome thing to behold! Each doing so in Jesus' name

Raise your hands. Is this a stick up? Hey  I'll happily share, care for a sandwich.

How do people who believe in Jesus sometimes find themselves doing the

devil's work? Couldn't say. Don't think one can both serve my Lord and do Satan's work.

Because we are all human. And we generally do not prepare for the way our human

nature can lead us astray...  Guess I do not know you nor the rest of your "we"..

We rarely discipline our natures Again, I must not know you nor your "we".

and even more rarely seek out the spiritual way and abide by it. Wow sorry for you and your "we" group.

We give into our flesh / humanistic reasoning... and we

actually at times oppose God (Matthew 16:16-23 for example... not to mention he denied Jesus 3 times).

We are more like Peter than Paul... most of us.

So...

BEWARE! You all, your we's, must be a most unhappy  lot. Sorry for you all to suffer so.

As for me, I am as happy as a clam on incoming tide, always being fed the perfect nutrients from God for the moment at hand, always perfect for my need and further sanctification having been fully justified by the sacrifice made by Jesus myLord God and personal savior. The Holy Spirit indwelling comforts me all the time, all, in that I am personally  individually secure.  Praise God for His unmerited by me mercy and grace.
