Why am I not surprised?

I can name all the ones that have turned off from God.

1. Jessica Simpson

2. Britney Spears

3. Avril Lavrive (or how you spell it :whistling: )

and now........U2 too???

Oh wait.

Their name....U2........is that related to GOD?

Like us.....and You too?

:P:emot-highfive:

First off I have never heard of Bono dressing up as a demon. Secondly, I would like to understand the context if he did. That sounds like a Terry Watkins claim and not actual fact. Third, three of the four members (including Bono) claim to be Christians. Fourth, Bono's songs do have a Christian message. And finally fifth, they're still over rated.

Well, what I heard was that they did claim Christianity in the beginning, but some time later, Bono at least claimed to reject Christianity. (Maybe in different words, but that's the gist.)

Does that mean The Byrds were a christian band with Turn, Turn, Turn?

Actually, it kinda does.

I believe the context of those remarks were directed at the "religion" of christianity.

I saw an interview with him about a year ago and he seemed more committed than ever. He doesn't speak christianese very well though.

Bono just played the major role in helping millions of the poor in Africa. Why do you think he did it?

The Joshua Tree album was extremely instrumental in drawing me to the Lord. I was listening to "One Tree Hill" at the moment when I asked the Lord into my life.

Don't think God isn't using them. Somehow He uses all of us, too...and we don't have any idea of the temptation they must face.

Pray for them or throw the first stone.

I'm not a U2 fan but I think Bono is a decent man. I don't know that I would agree with him on everything but I believe there are worse things a Rock Star could be doing with his time.(sex, drugs& kabala) Bono does seem to care about the poor and he puts alot of himself into that cause. I think Jesus would approve.

Whether you like their music or not, or care for their "style"...yes, they are all believers. I know someone who knows someone (lol) who just got off tour with them (he is a photographer named Jimmy Garcia I think) and he said they are all believers but have no desire to be boxed into the western idea of a "christian" band. Their audience is broader than that and they feel like they are doing what they are called to do.

btw...their world tour sold out in 10 minutes. Wow...
