Floyd had 3 times the fatal dosage of fetanyl in his blood. Also witnesses have said that 6 times Floyd yelled that he could not breathe while he was upright and mobile. Finally, he asked the officers to put him on the ground. The autopsy states that his lungs were filled with fluid from the overdose, and that there was no damage to his neck or larynx. Had officers put Floyd into their car, he would have died of an overdose of fetanyl. Other footage (withheld by the media) shows the cops twice asking for medical assistance for Floyd. So, you see . . . there is more to the story than the footage of an officer with his knee on Floyd's neck.

He did have fentanyl in his system but I can't find any comment in the report regarding fatal dosages. Certainly the medical examiner did not state anything like that. I suppose the lawyers may be using that. Edited September 22, 2020 by teddyv
