I wouldn't say that I never appreciated this before but rather that I was reminded how thankful I am for it ... That Jesus is truly a friend to us. This has been a rough year for me. So often I just needed a friend - most of those times I didn't have anyone physically I could turn to, Jesus was always there. Even on the nights that I could only sit numbly on the couch, no prayer was left inside me, Jesus was with me and showered me in His presence.
