And sometimes the answer is NO.

I need to top up on God first thing every morning - and to remember and acknowledge Him throughout the day. God hears our heart in prayer. Talking with God should be simple and honest (remembering that He knows our thoughts anyway). Our real 'prayer list' is the thing that is distracting us while we are trying to cover our written prayer list. I need to frequently remind myself that my God is the only living God; that He is a good God; that He is kind; that He is love; that He is a God who hears and answers prayer; that He has good thoughts towards me and a good plan for my life. And I need to frequently thank Him for His love, His goodness, His patience and kindness, His mercy and grace, for hearing my prayers etc. - basically for everything good I can think of. It is also helpful to frequently remind myself that God is always with me. He will never leave me nor forsake me. 1
