Because we lack a reference to the time when these things we will occur, its very hard to be dogmatic about future prophecy

What we don't know

  1. When it will happen
  2. Who will be involved precisely
  3. How it will happen precisely

What we can know

  1. It will happen
  2. Refer to #1

The biggest problem we can get into is to get dogmatic about what we THINK will happen.  Many Jews missed the coming of the Messiah because they thought He would come as a conquering king. And He did,  conquering sin and death and bringing victory and the kingdom of heaven to man.   But they had very little concept  of that reality.  What they knew was Caesar, and Jesus did not march into Palestine with an Army of Angels to free them from Caesar as they thought He would, and they missed it.

We too looking at future prophecy have no concept of the time and manner this will occur and we can miss it if we stubbornly hold to one Idea of how it will happen, or how it happened.

If God did not tell us the details, (and He did not, He gave us an outline) then we have no business in filling in the details ourselves. It is very alluring to think you know something, or have a special vision, but in the end it is all just pride.  People have been tussling over this for 2000 years and we are no closer to knowing the details than we were 2000 years ago.

Be humble, content yourself to the realization that you cannot know it all...yet

1 Corinthians 13:12 For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

And it is for a very good reason.  We should not be focused on what is to come. We should be focused on now, and doing what we can for the kingdom now.  Don't let your lamps go unattended being caught up in what will happen, and miss it when it happens.

What prophecy says, prophecy means:

In order to understand end time events, it is necessary to be clear about the provable fact of the continued separation of the House of Judah (the Jews) from the House of Israel (the 10 Northern tribes). While, at present, about half of the world’s Jews live in the State of Israel, they do not claim descent from tribes other than Judah, Benjamin and Levi.

It is God’s plan that the ten Northern tribes of Israel and the Jews, be dispersed around the world and that Israel lose its identity; Ezekiel 36. It is them who have, in the main, become Christian.

The restoration and redemption of the Lord’s people, is a theme well covered by almost all the prophets. His people: descendants of all the 12 tribes and every Christian who loves the Lord and follows His ways, Jew or Gentile.

Prophecy is quite clear about the eventual gathering of all the Israel of God, Galatians 6:16, into the Land promised to their forefathers. When this will happen is the question to consider.  Most church teaching says this will occur at the time of Jesus’ Return, when He gathers His chosen from the four corners of the earth’. Matthew 24:31. As Israelites are not specified, these people will be from every race nation and language – those who have kept their faith in God and have not taken the mark of the beast.

Careful study of Scripture makes it clear that the Christian Israelites [Amos 9:8b-12] will resettle all of the Land promised to Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. The current inhabitants of Greater Israel face judgement in this next prophesied event – the Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath. Isaiah 2:12-22, Ezekiel 21:6-7, Hosea 3:3-6 & 12-15.

His people, the faithful Israelites of God, will be saved and protected – Hosea 11:8-9. They will be a light to the nations and will prepare for the coming Kingdom of Jesus.

Ezekiel 20:36-44 ...’I will state My case with you, as in the days of Egypt’. This second Exodus of the Israelites will take place in a similar way as the first. Then both verses 42 and 44 say: ‘You will know that I am the Lord ‘. Therefore all this takes place before the Return of Jesus, as then all the world will know and see His glory and presence.

We, as Christians, must lead lives that will be judged worthy, so when this gathering of His people happens – in the near future, we may be accepted to live in the holy Land.

I agree with much of your post, but not this. As Daniel testified,

Daniel 12:9 And he said, “Go your way, Daniel, for the words are closed up and sealed until the time of the end.

We are now in the time of the end, and much is being unsealed and revealed about the End Time prophecies. So our present knowledge vastly exceeds, for example, what was known in the first century A. D. Or even the 19th century.

Open to us the Gates of Victory:

Psalms 118:1-29 Lord, deliver us we pray. Lord grant us prosperity. In our time of trouble we will call upon the Lord, He will answer and give relief to us. With the Lord on our side, we will not be afraid, what can mortals do to us? With the Lord as our helper, we shall see the downfall of our enemies.

The godless nations surround us on every side, they swarm around like bees, they press against us and commence their attack, their weapons prepared like fire burning brushwood, but in the Lord’s name, they will be defeated. The Lord comes to help His people, He is their Deliverer.

This will be the Day the Lord takes action, a Day for us to rejoice and exult. Listen: shouts of triumph come from the camp of the victors! With God’s Right Hand, He does mighty deeds! His people will live to proclaim what the Lord has done, He will not surrender us to death.

The rock which the builders rejected has become the main corner stone. This is God’s doing, it is amazing in our sight.

Open to us the gates of victory, we will go in by them and praise the Lord, for He has answered us and He is our Deliverer. Let those who fear the Lord say: His love endures forever!     Ref: REB. Some verses abridged and paraphrased.

Lord, deliver us’, Pray for the Lord to take action against the godless peoples. Psalms 140:1-13, Isaiah 28:21

but the Lord comes to help His people’, Ezekiel 7:14, Isaiah 59:18, Isaiah 30:26

He will not surrender us to death’, All who call on the name of the Lord will be saved. Joel 2:32, Psalms 33:18-19, Acts 2:21 and we are told to take shelter and to be proactive for our own safety. Isaiah 26:20-21

This is the Day the Lord takes action’, The great Day of the Lord’s vengeance and wrath. Revelation 6:12-17, Zephaniah 3:8

God’s Right Hand, the Rock’, The Lord Jesus, rejected by the Jews. Acts 4:11 Now He will instigate a terrible punishment by fire on His enemies. Isaiah 39:25-30, Psalms 110:5-6, Psalms 18:7-15, 2 Peter 3:7, +

Later, at His Return in glory, He destroys the army of the Anti-Christ by the Sword of His Word.

His people ‘will enter the gates of victory’, that is: all the holy Land where His faithful Christian people will become ‘a light to the nations’, and the Lord’s witnesses to all peoples. Isaiah 66:18b-21

Many of the prophecies contain statements by which the time of the prophecy can be known. Many of the prophecies are qualified by indicators or markers that inform occurrence within the marker-specified timeframe. For example, every prophesy that contains mention of the Messiah can and should be known and understood to occur when the Messiah came at that time or, depending on the indicator, some approximate timeframe surrounding his coming. The plain fact is some prophecies have already come true. Equally true is the fact some Christians, despite their being Christians, do not believe the fulfilled prophecies have been fulfilled.

The thing that makes a Christian a Christian, theologically speaking, is the belief the Messianic prophecies of the Old Testament have all already been fulfilled with the incarnation of God's Logos, the God-man we know as Jesus the Christ. There's not going to be any other Messiah. Jesus is it. He's the guy; he's the long prophesied, long-ago prophesied Messiah and there will be no other. We know when those prophecies were fulfilled.

I am pretty sure my above statement was predicated on FUTURE (yet to be fulfilled) prophecies
