Hi TheLight

So now it is clear that you stop at v. 10 multiple times.  Doing this on purpose.

They went into the ark and it came to pass 7 days AFTER they entered that the waters were upon the earth. Just like it says!!

Gen 7

There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

Quote

It took 7 days for the animals to fill the ark. V. 13 says Noah "entered", Jesus uses the word "entered".

So you say it took 7 days for the animals fill the ark. The WORD says they filled the ark in the selfsame day.

Gen 7

13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

14 They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.

Quote

Before v. 13 the narrative is preparatory to the action of entering. Basic reading comprehension.

Pre-telling/overview of the coming sentences.

Hey, that all sounds real fancy, like you know what your talking about, but how is it possible that Noah, his family, and EVERY animal can enter the ark on the selfsame day, and yet you claim that it took seven days to fill the ark. Basic reading comprehension?

You are looking like you avoid the whole of scripture to protect a pet doctrine. Just BELIEVE the scriptures!

Wants some facts. The word proves you wrong over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over, and over and yet you still won't be able to agree with what is written. So here we are, you claiming that it took 7 days to fill the ark and the word says Noah and every creature filled the ark on the selfsame day.

There's a reason you can't see the pretribulation rapture in scripture. Just BELIEVE the scriptures

Hello The Light, Yes it is my assumption that 7 days transpired from the first mention of entering until the next. You  do see that entering is used more than once, right? Do you think Noah entered more than once? (not) Will you prove Jesus wrong too? After all, He claims it was the day Noah entered.  I don't know, maybe the NIV will help:

Gen 7:4 -Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.

v. 7- And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.

v. 8- Pairs of clean and unclean animals, of birds and of all creatures that move along the ground,

v. 9- male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah.

v. 10- And after the seven days the floodwaters came on the earth.

v. 13- On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark.

v. 14- They had with them every wild animal according to its kind, all livestock according to their kinds, every creature that moves along the ground according to its kind and every bird according to its kind, everything with wings.

v. 15- Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noah and entered the ark.

So, it may make it easier to see the pre-telling statement of v.7 and the outworking of the rest of it. You are not the first to gloss over it quickly and miss the accuracy of Jesus' declaration.

Hi Uriah,

Still walking around denying the facts, I see. It's all pretty simple. It is impossible for Noah and his family and all the animals to enter the ark on the selfsame day if it takes 7 days to load them as you incorrectly conclude. Secondly we see that Noah enters the ark with all the animals and then after seven days it comes to pass that the flood waters are upon the earth. The things you say don't agree with scripture.

Also, I don't know why you keep babbling about proving Jesus wrong. Jesus is clear that the world is eating and drinking UNTIL the day Noah enters the ark. God tells Noah to enter the ark in Gen 7:1 clearly at least 7 days before the flood.

Matt 24

38 For as in the days that were before the flood they were eating and drinking, marrying and giving in marriage, until the day that Noe entered into the ark,

39 And knew not until the flood came, and took them all away; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

No, Jesus is pretty clear that the world is eating and drinking UNTIL THE DAY Noah enters the ark. He does not say the world is eating and drinking until the flood comes. It seems that God in Gen 7:1 completely agrees with Jesus in Matt 24:38.

It seems you miss many, many details (or completely disregard them) which explains the lack of seeing that there will be a pretribulation rapture.

The Light,

Jesus also agrees with this...v. 13-In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark

Luke 17:27- ...the day that Noe entered...

Can't get much closer to an exact quote than that.

So my final question is this: The word "entered" appears four times (see above post) in the Gen 7 passage we have been looking at, (NIV) on which one did "the flood came and destroyed them all"?

Gosh a trick question. I'm so confused. Maybe if I read what it says I'll get some kind of answer.

Gen 7

And the Lord said unto Noah, Come thou and all thy house into the ark; for thee have I seen righteous before me in this generation.

Of every clean beast thou shalt take to thee by sevens, the male and his female: and of beasts that are not clean by two, the male and his female.

Of fowls also of the air by sevens, the male and the female; to keep seed alive upon the face of all the earth.

For yet seven days, and I will cause it to rain upon the earth forty days and forty nights; and every living substance that I have made will I destroy from off the face of the earth.

And Noah did according unto all that the Lord commanded him.

And Noah was six hundred years old when the flood of waters was upon the earth.

So God told Noah to enter the ark and take all the animals so they wouldn't be destroyed by the flood. It says Noah did according to ALL that the Lord commanded him. So Noah is done. He does not have to reload the ark, he's finished and the flood comes when he is 600 years old. Since Noah completed what God had commanded we can correctly conclude that any further talk of Noah loading animals and entering the ark is just more information AND DETAILS on what has already happened in the 1st 6 verses.

Gen 7

And Noah went in, and his sons, and his wife, and his sons' wives with him, into the ark, because of the waters of the flood.

Of clean beasts, and of beasts that are not clean, and of fowls, and of every thing that creepeth upon the earth,

There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

11 In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened.

12 And the rain was upon the earth forty days and forty nights.

This is merely a rehash of what happened in the 1st 6 verses with MORE DETAILS. Now we know the exact day and month and we know that both the fountains of the deep opened and also the windows of heaven. We also know that there was rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights.

Gen 7

13 In the selfsame day entered Noah, and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark;

14 They, and every beast after his kind, and all the cattle after their kind, and every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth after his kind, and every fowl after his kind, every bird of every sort.

15 And they went in unto Noah into the ark, two and two of all flesh, wherein is the breath of life.

16 And they that went in, went in male and female of all flesh, as God had commanded him: and the Lord shut him in.

17 And the flood was forty days upon the earth; and the waters increased, and bare up the ark, and it was lift up above the earth.

18 And the waters prevailed, and were increased greatly upon the earth; and the ark went upon the face of the waters.

19 And the waters prevailed exceedingly upon the earth; and all the high hills, that were under the whole heaven, were covered.

20 Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered.

21 And all flesh died that moved upon the earth, both of fowl, and of cattle, and of beast, and of every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth, and every man:

22 All in whose nostrils was the breath of life, of all that was in the dry land, died.

23 And every living substance was destroyed which was upon the face of the ground, both man, and cattle, and the creeping things, and the fowl of the heaven; and they were destroyed from the earth: and Noah only remained alive, and they that were with him in the ark.

24 And the waters prevailed upon the earth an hundred and fifty days.

Oh, look, another rehash of what occurred in the earlier verses with MORE DETAILS.

The most important detail, among the many, is now we know that Noah, his family and all the animals were loaded in the ark in one day, the selfsame day.

As for your flood question and the destruction, I would conclude that there was 1 destruction that was presented three times with more details each time.

Hi The light,

Ahhh, slowly you begin to acknowledge what I had been saying. (rehash/re-telling) You had previously been leaving out v. 13.

This time the only thing you left out was v. 4- Gen 7:4 -Seven days from now I will send rain on the earth for forty days and forty nights, and I will wipe from the face of the earth every living creature I have made.

No trick question at all, just hoping you read it through and see the difference. There is a week between when God told Noah what to do and when the rain/flood came.

I must confess, I have absolutely no clue what you are talking about. I have quoted verse 13 multiple times. The fact that the quotes SELFSAME DAY is proof that the animals were loaded in one day and not a week like you claimed. The only conclusion that I can make at this point is that the word proved you wrong and instead of fessing up to it, you are jerking my chain, or so it appears.

Again have no clue what point you are trying to make. You said the Noah, his family and animals were loaded in 7 days. I said they were loaded in one day, the selfsame day. I said Noah is in the ark 7 days before the flood, even as the church will be in heaven before the 7 seals are opened during the 70th week of Daniel. It is the twelve tribes that are raptured in the post tribulation rapture as proven by the 144,000 first fruits.

Wow, two raptures? As I have said many times, that is what pre trib produces.

Anyway you simply dodged v. 4 again. (Seven days from now I will send rain)

And that is because when it says: "on the very day" (v. 13) (the rain came) Noah entered the ark, the flood destroyed them all. And it washes away the phony pre-trib teachng with it. No 7 days/years etc. Jesus said:  the day Noah entered the ark...Then the flood came.....“It will be just like this on the day the Son of Man is revealed.

What in the world are you talking about. I am dodging nothing. Where do you see that it rains the day that Noah enters the ark??????????????????????????????????? We can already prove that Noah enters the ark 7 days before the flood.

Gen 7

There went in two and two unto Noah into the ark, the male and the female, as God had commanded Noah.

10 And it came to pass after seven days, that the waters of the flood were upon the earth.

Gen 7:10-13-  And after the seven days the floodwaters came on the earth.

In the six hundredth year of Noah’s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month—on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.

And rain fell on the earth forty days and forty nights.

On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark.
