We don't choose the work.  Sure we could come up with a grand idea, but if God does not instigate the idea - it's for naught and will not bear much fruit as when God tells us what to do and directs our paths.

I agree that the man makes plans, but the right answer comes from the Creator (Prov 16.1). But, so that Jesus can give the right answer, we need to make plans or do somethings.

For instance: when the Midianites were oppressing Israel's people, while all people were hidden biding for the Creator doing something, Gideon was threshing the wheat in the winepress (Judge 6.11).

But cafeteria's can sell good food that people need at fair prices; if they choose to abuse that and overeat or eat only junk food, that isn't on you, I would say.

Yes, if the cafeteria or restaurant sell good food (which doesn't have pesticide, have all the nutrients which our body needs and doesn't contribute with diabetes, cancer, strokes, heart attack, etc., certainly it would be a blessing.

If someone elaborate scrumptious dishes with these characteristics, this would be fantastic. However, who do this?

I think when we have that daily integral relationship with God in Christ we can work just about anywhere

It there are places that stir up in us bad feelings and thoughts as, for instances, clubs, casinos, discos, etc. Hence it was written:

  • Psa 1:1  -> "Blessed is the man who has not walked in the counsel of the ungodly, and has not stood in the way of sinners, and has not sat in the seat of the scornful.".
  • 2Co 6:14-18 -> "Do not be unequally yoked together with unbelievers; for what fellowship does righteousness have with lawlessness? And what partnership does light have with darkness? And what agreement does Christ have with Belial? Or what part does a believer have with an unbeliever? And what agreement does a temple of God have with idols? For you are the temple of the living God, as God has said, "I will dwell in them and walk among them; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people." Therefore come out from among them and be separated, says the Lord, and do not touch the unclean thing. And I will receive you and I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.".

Believe me brother ,I certainly understand where you are coming from and even more so what the Word of God Says....I'm not going to get into the context of the verse of Scripture you quoted from Psalms nor the passage from 2nd Corinthians . However, regarding the Church at Corinth there were many specific problems Paul was addressing.....in any event please know that I do agree with you to a degree.....I'll tell you why, briefly & this should also help you to understand why I answered "we can work just about anywhere".....note I never said "anywhere" ,I said "just about"

This may not be okay for anyone & I'm sure it would not be alright for everyone, depending on where they are at in their own WALK.For many years I worked nights in clubs,I actually worked 3 jobs for a very many number of years.... At night weekends mostly I worked as hair & make up artist for adult entertainers(many will say -uhhhh,how awful!)  I believe God used me the most back then because there were constant opportunities to spread the Gospel...many entertainers quit as a result of Receiving the Word & though I struggled from time to time feeling out of place I stuck with it & went about my Fathers Business....At least once every 2 weeks or so I thought I'd get fired(huge conflict of interest-lol) as ladies would leave that business behind.... It was something to experience ,that is for sure and I never got fired -instead ,General Mgrs would get transferred or quit or get fired.....I worked for the Corporation & not the individual clubs they owned

Anyway,I've been spreading the Gospel for years & years and have been to some pretty dark places,I was most definitely "separated" and never had any interest in the partaking of evil doings or wickedness but always loved to comfort & encourage  the lost, the desperate, the wayward, runaways, drunks, addicts & anyone who is in need of the Love of Christ(hmmm, thats everyone-isnt it?) So my friend, somebody's gotta do it &I'm glad it was me!It was both a privilege & an honor serving our Lord-Glory to God!

Btw,I think its where we might find Jesus today & probably not sitting in a pew someplace

                                                       With love-in Christ,Kwik

I cannot thank the Lord enough for the places He allowed me to go and work. In spite of my continued messing up, He gave me such an interesting and fulfilling life. And now I am alone many years staying away from the pandemic. A blessing too.
