One extreme deserves another when it comes to wilfull sinning.

Than, according to your false teaching, I should never of continued trying to stop, but instead, just continued to sin and die in my sin.  Very shameful advice to give to any sinner.  If there are any others reading this thread and are in the same or similar situations, do not follow this members advice.

I take it you have never been addicted to any substance that took control over your life or you would know that there are days where the words he spoke are just raw feelings of despair and not what is really in his heart.  Do you think he came here just to be humiliated by your words or is there even a sliver of hope in his returning to post?  Don't become a counselor ...

Desire is king.

The question is whether you obey the desires of your flesh or the desires of God for you, the first one being that you seek His Kingdom and His Righteousness.

Jas 1:5-8  If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.  (6)  But let him ask in faith, with no doubting, for he who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind.  (7)  For let not that man suppose that he will receive anything from the Lord;  (8)  he is a double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.

The fact that you are a moderator and giving this kind of advice really is shocking.  Your moderator badge should create a desire within you to reach out ever so more to someone hurting, not degrade them in their situation.  Instead of you suggesting I be patient, why not you show more love for your neighbor.

Hello all. So i have a question. I have found a new church that i like, and have been thinking about joining it. I took this class which was like 4 hrs long and it basically went over some basics of what the church believes in. But theres a problem. Im living in sin. Doesnt God say worship while living in sin is an abomination to Him? Should i even be going to church for that matter?
the other problem is i dont have any plans to stop the sin because i cant. Its an addiction. Need some advice.

Do you know Jesus Christ? Do you want to know Him? Do you know that Jesus Christ is a great Healer? To know Him you need a Bible. You can use this one until you get one a real one of your own. https://www.kingjamesbibleonline.org/

Look at all the verses in which He healed someone. Here is 100 to start with -https://www.openbible.info/topics/jesus_healing

Think about them. Pray for Jesus to forgive you your sins and help you to overcome (look the verses up on that one too, and pray on them for Him to help you) your faults and ask for the Holy Spirit to come and guide you and show you what you should do.

Every time you get the urge to sin try reading the Bible instead. Ask Him to heal you with His Word. Blessings to you.

Its been years since i went, and so i started going to different churches to see where i liked. Talked to a couple of preachers from different churches and i really like the preaching at this one, everytime i go, i come out with more knowledge than i had going in. I stand to learn a lot from it. But im not sure i should join due to living in sin.
