As a former athiest, I can tell you several reasons why I would come to this site. First and foremost, it would be pure entertainment. Athiests find Christian beliefs silly, delusional and nonsensical. The other reason would be to try to "trap" Christians by luring them into discussions that are designed only to get the Christian to doubt. Others do want to know about Christianity, but only from an intellectual point of view. Blessings, kamusat

The second reason is the one that puzzles me. What vested interest would an atheist have for causing a Christian to doubt?

He is antichrist who denies the Father and the Son." There are only two masters. We all serve one or the other. Either you serve the Lord in this life or you serve Satan. An atheist is serving Satan. So that may mean he or she is going to visit a christian site to sow doubt, to mock, to discredit the Word of God. He is serving his master, he has the spirit of antichrist. We, on the other hand, have the Holy Spirit. We must do our best to defend the Word in love and patience. Perhaps we can plant a seed that may someday take root in a cold, empty heart. So let us hold up our shield of faith to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked one. The battle is already won and we are on the winning side. When I first came on here in Decemeber under a different user name, I wasn't a beleiver. To tell you all the truth, I was tired of the vulgar language with the other chat sites so I figured that a Christian CHat Site would be clean and welcoming. I was right, for the most part. I would like to argue about certain things just for the pleasure of it. I became a beleiver one month after I joined. I changed my user name to the one you all love now. This site is great to teach whom ever, from what ever religion back ground IF you want to learn. I have had no real problem with any of the Atheists here. They are people just like all of us and I was once where they are in their thinking. I love to see them get into discussions and learn. We all can learn from each other. Okay, I am done.
