Might be the transliteration of a word that means something else.

I've been looking into it, seems it means night bird, thus the slight difference in its translations, KJV has it as screech owl.

Owl is unclean in the bible.

It appears in metaphors in the bible.

Problem solved.

"Lilith" was not Adam's wife as that is an unbiblical myth.

No doubt some like to use the part in Genesis to say they were created at the same time thus Adam first wife but that's just a overview like a general statement.

If I may broach a different subject.

Before Cain was born, Adam said that Eve was "the mother of all living".

Does this allow for the existence of elves?

Maybe that Lilith is Naamah

Gen 4

22And Zillah gave birth to Tubal-cain, a forger of every implement of bronze and iron. And the sister of Tubal-cain was Naamah.

Nor aliens, the nephilim were on the earth back in the day.

Gen 6:4

The Nephilim were on the earth in those days—and afterward as well—when the sons of God had relations with the daughters of men. And they bore them children who became the mighty men of old, men of renown.

Is it possible that there was more than one Eve, and more than one Adam?  Let us make man in our own image.  It doesn't say a man, and a woman.  It's almost as though it was about mankind.  Was there likely more than one Eve, and more than one Adam?
