In scripture, different kingdoms are refered to as beasts and they seem to have different appearances. Israel now has a goverment much like any other gentile goverment so how might that beast be described in scripture?

You might have missed a salient point. When a Beast is used to describe a political power it was always a GENTILE power. This makes answering your question a bit difficult.

But we have an inkling. The last Beast is Rome. It is depicted by iron and clay mixed. As a political entity its form of government is Democracy - Man's Rule. Israel have a royal line. But they refused this line and hailed Caesar. Thus, they get Caesar's government - Democracy.

On a sad note, what does the Church do? It follows the world and the last Church is Laodicea - "the judicial opinion of the people"

A king like the gentiles have is what Israel wanted after rejecting the Lord.

Now a king like the gentiles have is what Israel has. A beast.

This is the point I was making.

1 Samuel 8:20

Then we will be like all the other nations, with a king to lead us and to go out before us and fight our battles.”
