No I didn't.  You didn't read correctly.  Gen 1:1 is about original creation, where everything was created "good", just as His restoration was said to be "good".

Again, you have read quite wrongly.  I never said any such thing.  The earth was created perfectly (v.1).  Then, (v.2) BUT the earth BECAME a WASTELAND.  This isn't difficult to understand at all.  Which I've been saying all along.  So your comments demonstrate that you either aren't really paying attention or you just don't comprehend.

Really?  Prove it from Scripture.  The only one the Bible mentions is the great flood where only 8 people were saved from the flood waters.  1 Peter 3:21.

What proof/evidence do you have for your claim?  (Acts 17:11)

I read what you said, (of coarse not) and you was referring to me saying earth couldn't have life plants and trees and organism before he commanded.

If earth was restored what was earth before the retore? It would mean was similar to now. And way before God commanded such things.

That problem with the restore earth theories along with other scenarios as to earth being restored to glory.

If it needed restoring that's not a good thing to go from habitable to unhabitable and back again.

Actually, neither you, nor I, or anyone else knows what was "in the beginning".  All we know is that God spoke everything into existence, per Psa 33:9.  It would only make sense to believe that original creation was deemed "good" just as His restoration of the earth was deemed "good".

This is an irrelevant data point.  Focus on the real stuff.  that the earth BECAME a WASTELAND, so that Gen 1:2ff is a restoration of the planet in 6 literal 24 hour days.

It's clear in the bible the waters was divided and the waters below is where the dryland appeared thus called earth and earth's seas is the water below.

Yes it is known that God was hovering over the waters in which earth was separated and formed with dryland and seas.

The reason earth was formless and void, the less used wording is a better translation because earth had no dryland or seas. Two things created to give earth form and purpose. In the beginning earth was of the waters with no seas or dryland.

Common sense.  A wasteland of a planet wouldn't have life, plants, or trees.

We don't know.  God didn't tell us.  So what?

Please explain what you mean.  It was clearly restored for man to inhabit.

Remember, it became an UNINHABITABLE wasteland.  Doesn't sound like something man would be able to exist on.

Cains descendants are not mentioned as dying in the flood. It's assumed they didn't go extinct before the flood.

This doesn't prove anything.

Part of the restoration process.

Do words have meaning or not?  Can you provide any examples of an object that is "formless" or is "unformed"?

God didn't command plants and trees before the wasteland no where in scripture does it say God created earth perfectly then it turned into a wasteland and He had to restore it.

I simply can't figure out how this response provides ANY extinctions on earth.  The great flood is certainly one.  Now, explain with Scripture the other one that you mentioned.

It proves you don't want to believe the Bible says there was one waters and earth became the lower waters after the separation.

A earth with no formed dryland and seas. You can't have either until it is formed.

Who is the last generation of Cains descendants mentioned. And how many of Seth's descendants carry on.

Please read all the evidence that I have provided.  The exact same form of the verb 'hayah' is translated throughout the OT as "became/become" in 59% of the verses where they occur.  And it is translated as "was" in only 4% of the verses.  So please PROVE that the translators were correct in v.2 when they chose one of the LEAST common translations of that verb form.

Second, the word "tohu" cannot ever mean "formless" since ALL objects that are visible HAVE form.  It is impossible for a a visible object to not have form.

Further, Jer 4:23 contains the same 2 words that are in v.2 "tohu wabohu", and is a description of the desolation of the land of Israel due to an invading army.  The results of a totally destroying army is not the land becoming "formless" or "without form" by any means, but rather, an UNINHABITABLE WASTELAND.
