Lets be reminded. These scripture came to me while praying this morning. I thought I should post them.

Matt 24:12

and because iniquity shall abound the love of many shall wax cold but he that shall endure unto the end thee same shall be save

2nd Tim 3

This know that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall become lovers of their own selves, covetous ,boasters , proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy without natural affection, truce breakers false accusers, incontinent , fierce, despisers of those who are good.

Traitors, heady high-minded, lovers of pleasure more that lovers of God, have ing a form of godliness denying the power thereof. From such turn away

We need to keep 'looking unto Jesus' (Hebrews 11.2), right? in the light of the many examples of faith from the Old Testament saints, which the writer to the Hebrews mentions in chapter 11.

I do think that Matthew 24's immediate context is the great tribulation (24.21); a unique, future event.

I'm sorry but I do not agree with your interpritation of tribulation. Still God bless

"For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be." (Matthew 24.21)

I forgot to ask if you meant the pre- tribulation rapture which is what I disagree

Well, I don't see the church in Matthew 24.21, if this answers your question.

I don't see the church in view in Matthew 24, because the background is strongly Jewish, and would seem to relate to the tribulation saints after the church has been taken.

My post speaks is to the Church of today. I have no idea what you mean concerning Jewish background. This morning I was praying with Jesus about our present time. The verses posted are for our present day and hour.

John 16.33 definitely does cover the tribulations that believers go through.
