In the news….

“The United Nations hosted a panel discussion on Tuesday in which panelists accused the state of Israel of genocide – and implicated America for its support of the country – in its ongoing war against the jihadist terrorist organization Hamas.

The panel, taking place on the sidelines of expected United Nations General Assembly discussions, was titled, “War on Gaza: the Responsibility to Prevent Genocide” and was organized by the “Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People.” It convened panelists arguing that statements against Hamas by Israeli government officials and operations in urban areas in Gaza fulfilled the legal requirements of the definition of genocide.” (End quote)

UN delays vote on cease-fire resolution; Austin pushes Israel to 'protect' Gazans: Live updates

Seeking to avoid another veto by the United States, the United Nations Security Council delayed a vote to Tuesday on a resolution calling for a cessation of hostilities in Gaza to allow unhindered access to deliver humanitarian aid.

Diplomats said negotiations were in motion to get the United States to either abstain or vote in favor of the Arab-sponsored resolution, which noted civilians in Gaza have scarce access to food, water, sanitation, electricity, telecommunications, and medical services "essential for their survival," according to The Associated Press.”(end quote)

So what if the “United Nations” passes this resolution of the 10 kings of Islam?  Will they try to enforce it!

We will have to wait and see.👀

In the news….

Quote …“U.S. Fails to Veto UN Security Council Resolution on ‘Cessation of Hostilities’ in Gaza

The United States abstained from a United Nations (UN) Security Council Resolution that passed 13-0 on Friday calling for “creating the conditions” for a “cessation of hostilities” in Gaza — and failing to condemn the Hamas terror organization.

As the Times of Israel noted, the U.S. ambassador to the UN, Linda Thomas-Greenfield, blasted the resolution for failing to condemn Hamas: ““Why is it so hard to condemn Hamas for slaughtering young people at a concert, for butchering families alive, for the reports of widespread sexual violence. I will never understand why some council members have remained silent in the face of such evil.”

However, the U.S. did not exercise its veto of the resolution, which will have little effect on the war in any case.

The resolution did call for the release of the remaining Israeli hostages in Gaza. It also called for an expansion of humanitarian aid.

A UN Security Council vote on the crisis in Gaza had been delayed for several days while the U.S. negotiated with other countries, notably the United Arab Emirates, to water down the resolution so that it would not demand Israel obey an immediate ceasefire.” (End quote)

In the news….

Israel-Gaza war live: Israel hits back at South Africa after it launches genocide case at UN’s top court

From the article…

South Africa launches genocide case against Israel at UN's top court

South Africa said it had approached the UN’s international court of justice (ICJ) under the Geneva convention with respect to acts committed by Israel in Gaza.

In a statement, South Africa said it was ‘“gravely concerned with the plight of civilians” caught in Israeli attacks on the Gaza Strip “due to the indiscriminate use of force and forcible removal of inhabitants.”

It said there were “ongoing reports of international crimes, such as crimes against humanity and war crimes” being committed as well as “reports that acts meeting the threshold of genocide” in the Palestinian territory.

An application in this regard was filed before the court on 29 December 2023 in which the court is requested to declare on an urgent basis that Israel is in breach of its obligations in terms of the genocide convention, should immediately cease all acts and measures in breach of those obligations and take a number of related actions.” ( end qoute)

Things are heating up!

In the news…. “Tensions escalate as U.S. helicopters sink Houthi boats in Red Sea….

What we know

  • U.S. helicopters exchanged fire with Iran-backed Houthi crews in small boats in the Red Sea today, sinking three boats, after they received distress calls from a commercial containership. Later, Danish shipping giant Maersk announced a 48-hour pause on all transits through the Bab-el-Mandeb strait, which connects the Red Sea to the Gulf of Aden and the Indian Ocean.
  • Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has pushed back against international calls for a cease-fire in Gaza, saying yesterday that the war was expected to go on for “many more months.” In a televised address, he also thanked the U.S. after the Biden administration bypassed Congress for a second time to approve weapons sales to Israel.
