When the false idol falls, the ships will be howling!

When you read the book of the Revelation you need to ask yourself, what is the Spirit trying to tell us by this symbolic imagery?
 

So let’s look at what the ships and those who are on them symbolize in the Revelation.

We read ….
 

Revelation 18:11-19

King James Version
 

11 And “the merchants”of the earth shall weep and mourn over her; for no man buyeth their merchandise any more:
12 The merchandise of gold, and silver, and precious stones, and of pearls, and fine linen, and purple, and silk, and scarlet, and all thyine wood, and all manner vessels of ivory, and all manner vessels of most precious wood, and of brass, and iron, and marble,
13 And cinnamon, and odours, and ointments, and frankincense, and wine, and oil, and fine flour, and wheat, and beasts, and sheep, and horses, and chariots, and slaves, and souls of men.
14 And the fruits that thy soul lusted after are departed from thee, and all things which were dainty and goodly are departed from thee, and thou shalt find them no more at all.
15 The “merchants”of these things, which were made rich by her, shall stand afar off for the fear of her torment, weeping and wailing,
16 And saying, Alas, alas that great city, that was clothed in fine linen, and purple, and scarlet, and decked with gold, and precious stones, and pearls!
17 For in one hour so great riches is come to nought. And every “shipmaster, and all the company in ships,”and sailors, and as many as trade by sea, stood afar off,
18 And cried when they saw the smoke of her burning, saying, What city is like unto this great city!
19 And they cast dust on their heads, and cried, weeping and wailing, saying, Alas, alas that great city, wherein were made rich all that had “ships”in the sea by reason of her costliness! for in one hour is she made desolate.”

We see a similar sign given in Isaiah where “the ships” are shown howling…

Isaiah 23:1

The burden of Tyre. Howl, ye ships of Tarshish; for it is laid waste….

 

Isaiah 23:14

Howl, ye ships of Tarshish: for your strength is laid waste.

 

We know ships don’t howl and cry out over the fall of riches, but rather people who are “merchants”do.

So the ships in this sea of iniquity are the merchants, and those who work for those merchants are like the sailors, and all those whose trade is by selling merchandise on the sea.

So with that knowledge go to 

Revelation 8:8-9

King James Version
 

8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;
9 And the third part of the creatures which were in the sea, and had life, died; and …“the third part of the ships were destroyed.”

So I believe this judgment above is really speaking about the third part of “merchants”being destroyed, not literal ships.

Revelation 18:2

And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and “the hold”of every foul spirit, and “a cage”of every unclean and hateful bird.”

Jeremiah 5:27

As “a cage”is full of birds, so are their houses “full of deceit:” therefore they are become great, and “waxen rich.”

Jesus warned of the “deceitfulness of riches”…..

 

Matthew 13:22

He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and “the deceitfulness of riches,” choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

Could just be those who work on ships carrying merchandise to and from a certain place.

Take Israel for instance.If Israel were gone alot of companies and cargo ships will lose business

In Daniel Chapter 2 the present world power then, Babylon, and its three replacements, Persia, Greece and Rome, are depicted as an effigy with four different types of rule. But when the little stone dashes the last world power, Rome, to powder, scripture reports that the WHOLE IMAGE was destroyed. How could this be if the world powers followed one another in history? The answer is simple.

After the flood of Noah, men, still unified by language, developed a system of things that brought in a political, religious and economic way of doing things. The main player was Nimrod and the place was Babel. God, recognizing a formidable enemy, gave men different languages and men departed one another in confusion. But the system stayed and in all six world powers, Egypt, Assyria, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece and Rome, the culture, language and political system was different but the RELIGIOUS and ECONOMIC system was the same. The system of worship in Egypt was the same as Rome and so was the Economic system.

The name Babylon is thus given to these systems even though the the geographical location was different. And by destroying Rome at the end, the whole effigy is crushed.

The Book of Revelation is about the change of world government. A new King is REVEALED. And of course, He will do away with the old occult based religious and economic system. In Chapter 17, the ten kings who gave the Beast his power, must destroy all world religions so that the whole world worships the Beast and the Dragon. But in Revelation 18 the world economic system is sacred. It takes God to destroy that.

* That is why in Matthew Chapter 13 the Tares are reaped BEFORE the Wheat.

I've never really understood why people think Persia was Inferior to Babylon.The  Persian empire was more powerful,had about ten times the land mass and lasted longer than the Babylonian empire.

Why do you believe the Persian empire is inferior to the Babylonian empire?

This coming economic down fall is global because when Mystery Babylon falls ALL the cities of the Nations fall.

Revelation 16:19

And the great city was divided into three parts, and “the cities of the nations fell:”and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath.”

 

This global down fall reminds God of the fall of ancient Babylon.

The ships/merchants/ rich/ are weeping, wailing, in woe and in sorrow because of the fall of the false idol system which is based on the love of money and materialism.

1 Timothy 6:10

For the love of money is the root of all evil: which while some coveted after, they have erred from the faith, and pierced themselves through with “many sorrows.”

 

Revelation 18:7

How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and “sorrow”give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see “no sorrow.”

But they that will be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which drown men in destruction and perdition.

They lose a lot of money while Israel is burning.They should have realized the people who claim to be Israel really wasn't Israel because Christ had not come any gatherd Israel .
