Sorry but most everyone gets this wrong along with all the dispensational nonsense. So very few know scripture well. All gone astray, and WHEN that great elevator in the sky does not come for them, then maybe a great falling away of the poorly taught and wrongly learned. Luke says the day following the crucifixion was a "high Sabbath" referring to the 7th day weekly Sabbath which was made "high" whenever a yearly Jewish sabbath happen to fall on it. Also, if Jesus died on Wednesday, more than 3 days elapse before the first day of the week when He resurrected before sunrise and His tomb was found empty: Wednesday: day 1 Thursday: day 2 Friday: day 3 Sabbath: day 4 Sunday: day 5 Some claim the text says "On the first of the weeks" referring to the Feast of Weeks which is claimed to have fallen on Friday and the day when Jesus rose, but that's derived from extreme minority variant readings and is disproved by the "high" Sabbath mentioned by Luke. A bit out of context, kinda like the Greek word. There's actually two words for wine in Greek, one for non alcoholic one for alcoholic. The one used at the marriage feast, and the one Paul used were indeed alcoholic. Last supper, that's up for debate. Proverbs...yeah it's a bit out of context if you ask me. But, In any case it's not worth dividing over. If you don't want to drink it, that's fine. I'm perfectly ok with that, nowhere in scripture does it say you have to. In fact, its the safer route as scripture does warn against it's misuse. Me personally...I enjoy an occasional shot of whiskey and dew. I find it relaxing. No doubt, but appeal to authority is a fallacy of logic. What you are being feed is the false doctrine of Perfectionism.

I doubt that is something a perfectionist would do ha ha Yeah, you know perfectionists take great pains, and give them to others. In Christianity, the doctrine of perfectionism refers to the belief that it is possible for a Christian to achieve perfection in this life. This is also known as Christian perfection or entire sanctification. The ultimate goal of this process is union with God characterized by pure love of God and other people as well as personal holiness or sanctification. However, this doctrine is not universally accepted and is considered a heresy by some Christian denominations12. [ChatBot]

The False Doctrine of Perfectionism boils down to a mistaken belief that anyone who becomes a Christian is instantly perfect, with no need to ask anyone, including God, for forgiveness ever again.
