The Democrats will go to ANY length to win, even slandering and smearing someone they hate. January 6th was NOT an insurrection, therefore Trump is not disqualified. He would easily win if it goes to the SCOTUS. I can't wait to vote for him or DeSantis.

January 6 was definitely an insurrection!  Trump's followers stormed the Capitol in a failed effort to prevent the confirmation of Joe Biden as President.  Several of the leader have already received long prison sentences for their actions.  Ex-President Trump, by leading the attempted insurrection, encouraged his followers to break the law.  He clearly should be disqualified under the 14th Amendment.

"No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability."

Is it freedom of speech .... or insurrection?  How many guns were SEIZED on January 6th?

You would think ... to have an insurrection, you'd need weapons to seize control of the government.  Just saying.  :)

One example: A man who has been the subject of conspiracy theories about the Capitol riot has been charged with disorderly conduct for his actions at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021.

The information filed in federal court in Washington, D.C., says Ray Epps knowingly engaged in “disorderly and disruptive conduct” on restricted federal grounds. The court scheduled an arraignment and plea agreement hearing for Wednesday.

Epps has said he traveled to Washington from Arizona, attended then-President Donald Trump’s speech near the White House, and then went to the Capitol and was part of the mob on the west front of the building.

There were many weapons in the hands of the attackers; it doesn't matter how many were actually seized.  BTW, Trump ordered the metal detectors to be removed from the Capitol grounds.

Policemen were killed on January 6th.  How do you think they died???

The Jan. 6 attack on the Capitol resulted in four deaths of law enforcement officers on that day, and five deaths of law enforcement officers later. The five officers who died later include four who committed suicide and one who died of natural causes. Over 100 D.C. and Capitol police officers were injured defending the Capitol on Jan. 6.

How many officers died?

Right now ... we have four who committed suicide.

Do you find it odd that four police officers committed suicide?

Just so you know, I'm not condoning the Jan 6 riots ... but I believe there's MORE than meets the EYE!  Sadly, we live in an age where deception and lying is the norm, just as Jesus said it would be like in the last days.

Mat 24:3  And as he sat upon the mount of Olives, the disciples came unto him privately, saying, Tell us, when shall these things be? and what shall be the sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?

Mat 24:4  And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.

Be blessed,

george

The sergeant of Arms who heads the Capitol Police is in charge of security in the Capitol.  And they report directly to the Speaker of the House and the Whip.

The President can only suggest or urge, and he has no authority over the Capitol or the policing of the Capitol.

It was NOT an insurrection. The people were for the most part peaceful with a few exceptions. The vast majority simply walked through the building. There was NO attempt to somehow overthrow the government. You can't overthrow a government simply by breaking into a capital building. An insurrection would have had tons of guns with mass killing of police and congressmen, and yet only 1 person was killed that day even though thousands of people participated. It takes ALOT to imagination to call that an insurrection. For 2 years, democrats looted and burned buildings, including government buildings and police stations, and killed many people. NONE of those people were given as much time as the January 6th crowd even though they caused far more damage and harm to people than the Jan 6th people did. Plus our despicable VP Harris went on national TV and tried to justify riots and killings in over a dozen cities. She is 10X more treasonous than anything Trump did. I will be voting for Trump in 14 months and standing proud when I do it.

I do NOT think he's a saint or even a great man. The reason I will vote for him is because his policies were for ALL Americans, and we had a better society with him. He especially did great things for Christians. He signed several executive orders protecting religious freedom. He cares about ALL Americans, not just the "special" ones.

That why DeSantis is staying in the race despite only 6% supporting him.

Yeah, polls are mostly meaningless.  De Santis is light years ahead of Trump in terms of knowing how to run government, being strategic, knowing when to shut his mouth, not getting indicted, knowledge of the legal system, not being scared of firing liberal government employees (something Trump failed miserably at in his 4 years after having promised to "drain the swamp")

You watch... they'll either get a conviction on Trump where he'll be in prison during the run up to 2024, or numerous states will disallow him to be on the ballot in those states making it impossible for Trump to win the electoral college, or they'll whack him if they have to.

They could easily make it appear that he had a hart attack since he's so old, fat, and out of shape... and ain't no body going to be doing an legitimate autopsy and if they did the final report would say he died from eating too much Mikey D's

No matter how you slice it, the dems are so scared of Trump one way or another they will see to it that he won't be the repub nominee in 2024 which is actually a good things because... that means De Santis will become the go to guy.

One thing is for sure, if Trump was the nominee, that guarantees another 4 years with a dem POTUS who most likely won't be biden.  They'll probably run gruesome newsom

Exactly!  People claiming that was an insurrection have NO idea what an insurrection actually is!

Nobody attempts an actually insurrection without being armed with firearms and lots of bullets and some bombs too.

Those who think that was an insurrection need to go study how insurrections have been done some of these countries that have had their government overthrown where hundreds if not thousands of people get killed

Jan 6 was nothing more than an ill advised riot... that wasn't even close to the democrat riots we saw in the summer of 2020!
