Isn't it a Leadership call! The last church I went to was very gospel with a lot of rthymn and blues beat. This one I go to now, is a lot more conserved - just a thought. And what is that reason? Well . . . it kind of started back in the second or third century when Christianity became a Gentile religion . . . . Okay...but why don't we celebrate Chanukah? I've always thought of Chanukah as a purely Jewish cultural celebration. One that doesn't necessarily apply in any way to Gentiles. Like ...Why don't you celebrate Indonesian Independence day? Though to be honest, my family and I have a type of Chanukah tradition. Each night we light the Menorah and talk about dedicating a certain part of our lives to the Lord. ( Our time, our talents, ....) It is the Feast of Dedication, right?

Look to the story of Chanukah, the miracle, and tell me again why we do not celebrate it.
