To understand the division of time called the day as used in the Bible, the context of the material must be determined. "And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit." (1 Corinthians 15:45) Besides the actual scripture, just common sense would suggest that (6) days before Adam, the earth was void of life, not to mention "people", according to the Bible.
