He told them way back in Deuteronomy that they would be a reproach in all the nations that they were scattered to if they did not walk in His ways. BUT He has also promised them reconciliation through Jesus Christ the Messiah. His mercy endures forever.

He had Isaac, the son of promise and a more jealous older brother, Ishmael, the father of the modern day Arabic nations. From the beginning, there was enmity between the brothers. I think this may be the core of much of the conflict.

Often spoiled, hated by their siblings. Isn't this what happened to Jacob's line? Specially chosen, blessed by God above all the nations, a showcase of God's power and glory, and forgetting "love" - but felt they were somehow superior by their very existence. Is it any wonder they are hated by the nations? But we must never forget who their FATHER is! Blessings, Dad Ernie

He knows God's love for them and naturally, he turns the world (by attacking our fleshly minds) against the chosen people.

There is no logical reason why the Jews have been hated and persecuted to the extent they have. This persecution has happened in nearly every society that they have had dealings with. It is true that the Jewish people in times past have sought to distance themselves from the gentile communities that they lived next to. This has been used by the powers that be to use them as scapegoats whenever the masses have become angry and rebellious against their kings. But the Jews are not the only people who have had this tendency to separate themselves from the locals. The Chinese and Indian Diaspora also tend to form their own communities and keep themselves apart from the natives. They have not suffered persecution anywhere near to the extent that the Jews have. There definitely has been an external force at work. All Praise The Ancient Of Days

While a curse may be upon them, the one who provides the agonizing attacks on the Jewish people isn't really Muslims or any other racial group...it's Satan. I mean, Satan uses people to do "his" bidding, which is an open-season attack on any and all Jews. Does that make any sense? If it means using Arab hatred in the cause of jihad, so be it. But you're absolutely right, Adstar...it's not just the arabs but almost everyone who goes against them.
Guest yod
why did Cain hate Able? why did Ishmael scorn Isaac? Why did Esau despise Jacob? Why did Saul want to kill David? envy. jealousy. flesh. Satan likes to stir things up but let's not give him ALL the credit.
Guest charlie
I can remember asking my mother this when I was young. Her reply was: "Because they killed Jesus and they control most of the money in the world." Over the years I've started to see what a wise woman my mother was even though I didn't see it way back then.
