Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said Friday that U.S. backing of Israel is responsible for flaming tensions in the Middle East and putting the world on course toward another "Holocaust."

Chavez is an idiot. It's not the U.S. backing of Israel that is causing tension in the middle east, It's the existance of israel that is causing tension. The Arabs, especially the muslims do want nor do they recognise Israel as a sovereign nation. Moreover, they want to see every Jew on the planet dead because that is what Mohammed tells them they must do if they want to go to heaven. You know, there has been only one person in the public eye that I have heard actually say something remotely close to the truth and that was Glenn Beck.

I wish we could somehow make it known to the world the injustices being committed against Israel under the guise of the palestinian conflict.

I've been reading a few articles on Chavez lately spanning a couple months...

Hugo Chavez Says Bush Guilty of Genocide

...

The comments came after the U.S. State Department announced a ban on arms sales to Venezuela because of what it claims is a lack of support by President Chavez's leftist government for counterterrorism efforts....

...Chavez, who is on a two-day visit to London aimed at energizing Europe's social movements, also repeated a warning that any military strike against Iran would send the price of crude oil soaring above US$100 a barrel. The current rate is around US$70 a barrel.

The Venezuelan leader said that such an attack on Iran would not prompt Venezuela to reduce its oil deliveries to the United States...
