Luke 8:2 And certain women, which had been healed of evil spirits and infirmities, Mark 6:7 And he called unto him the twelve, and began to send them forth by two and two; and gave them power over unclean spirits; Leviticus 19:31 Regard not them that have familiar spirits, neither seek after wizards, to be defiled by them: I am the LORD your God. Isaiah 8:19 And when they shall say unto you, Seek unto them that have familiar spirits, and unto wizards that peep, and that mutter: should not a people seek unto their God? for the living to the dead? Leviticus 20:6 And the soul that turneth after such as have familiar spirits, and after wizards, to go a whoring after them, I will even set my face against that soul, and will cut him off from among his people. The seer/fortune teller did not exactly bring up Samuel herself, I'm pretty sure, if you read in, it was God all along. Ghosts? You have the Holy Ghost or Holy Spirit. The typical "ghost" is a demonic spirit. Demons can mimic people who lived. True hauntings are the manifestation of demonic spirits. Yep! Boo! Sorry, couldn't resist... hr.jr. & floatingaxe nailed it. There is the Holy Ghost or Spirit and there are demonic spirits mimicking those who have died.
