  1. Well, there's always chocolate, ice cream, or both... But all boredom aside, here's something you might enjoy... Just lie down where you're comfortable and pray in the Word and Spirit about all your hopes and dreams of family love and motherhood. While you are quietly listening and meditating on whatever God's Spirit brings to focus in your heart and mind, rub your tummy, maybe hum or sing as you are moved to, as you pay special attention to what your child feels like inside your womb. While you think about the journey you have travelled on so far, one full of wonder, walked in faith, hope, and love in anticipation of soon seeing your child FACE to FACE, may you be deeply impressed by the sheer beauty in the mystery of what your physical eyes had not yet beheld and the wisdom and understanding behind God's design of creation. Gen 2:23 The man said, "This is now bone of my bones, And flesh of my flesh; She shall be called Woman, Because she was taken out of Man." Gen 2:24 For this reason a man shall leave his father and his mother, and be joined to his wife; and they shall become one flesh. God Bless
  2. Barred Spiral Galaxy NGC 1672 A Dark Sky Over Death Valley...And I mean WOW!!! Look at all those stars!!! I forget what the sky can look like on a clear night far from all the city lights, sometimes. Amazing...
  3. Maybe it will remind the family members that sharks get excited when there is blood in the water...
  4. Lord have mercy is right! Can you imagine how high the assault and possibly the murder rate would go if this happened? Total transparency of thoughts...Everytime I think of it, I can find some amusing scenario to run through my mind. Some women might start dressing a little differently...more modestly. Affairs and double lives would have to cease. No more conspiracies. No more lies. Hey, it might not be so bad...After the BLOODY REVOLUTION is over...
  5. It would be a riot if we could read eachother's thoughts...Lord have mercy!!! And then, after awhile, some of us will just learn to have selective thought reading. LOL! Selective hearing is a husbands and parents survival instincts kicking in. Oh no!
  6. Maybe we can stop offering a penny for your thoughts and keep our two cents...but seriously, that's interesting.
  7. Dear Emily Anne, How beautiful! Sometimes we need to lose our minds a little. Hurting people often times hurt other people and do not know what the love of God is. When I was growing up, I suffered various abuses and neglect at the hands of others. Often times from the very people who were supposed to protect, care for and love me but they either could or would not. After all this time, I just found out this year in a conversation I had with my brother that we almost wound up being put in foster care until our grandparents decided to step in. Because I did not know God, I would internalize the pain in my heart and mind and let it fester and it would manifest itself in shameful ways. I was given over to increasing anger, bitterness, and hatefulness, and sin flowed out of my heart like a river. I have seen enough of the dark side of the human heart. But God, in all His wisdom lets the sun shine on the righteous and the wicked and brought me face to face not only with the sin in them, but also with the sin in me. I saw the glory in Christ with the sinners on either side of Him as He gave His life a ransom for the sins of the world on the cross. I needed to believe and recieve the power of His forgiveness more than anything else in the world. God shows us His love in His Son and His Spirit teaches us to love like Him. That's why I love what you are sharing in this testimony soo very much. In order for us to heal and get to a place where we can manifest and grow in His love, He will often give us those kinds of insights and understandings like the one that you had, so through the power of His forgiveness we can likewise have compassion on those who hurt us, and love in the Agape way, that our joy and peace be made more full. God, in all His wisdom, does indeed choose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise. God actually brought me to a place where He enabled me to minister to some of the needs of the very people who hurt me the most. When I think about the way certain things happened it makes me laugh, in particular because it was a blessing in disguise, since it appeared to me like a curse for such a long time. Reminds me of these verses that really spoke to my heart during that time... Mat 7:7 "Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Mat 7:8 "For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. Mat 7:9 "Or what man is there among you who, when his son asks for a loaf, will give him a stone? Mat 7:10 "Or if he asks for a fish, he will not give him a snake, will he? Mat 7:11 "If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give what is good to those who ask Him! At first, all I saw was a stone and a snake but He turned them into loaves and fishes. Praise God for His goodness! Thank you for sharing what God has placed on your heart
  8. Yep. He's black, educated, and actually speaks english well. What more could you ask for? Substance. It is the substance of what I have heard about some of his views that cause me concern.
  9. Haha...Whenever I get a new ache and pain, white hair, or some other form of aging, I tend to forget how young I am and moan about how I am getting older. I sometimes have dreams whereby I recieved certain insights and understandings, although it can take awhile for them to fully dawn on me. One that had kept reoccuring to me a while back was where I would be floating up and away and sometimes I felt scared because I could not always get back down to earth easily, as my sense of balance and gravity would shift around and it would take me time to adjust and figure it out. I could always eventually make my way back, although I felt so light and free as I was floating away, yet I was relieved once I could figure it out so I could make my way back to the earth. Once during a time when I was in much prayer and seeking the Lord's face, there were a sequence of nights where my eyes popped open as I was woken up out of a dead sleep and my eyes would lock on the digital time display on the clock next to my bed at exactly 3:33. At the time, I never experienced anything quite like this and I was very cautious about sharing with anyone about this experience, as it perplexed me at that time and I didn't know what to make of it. One of the things I came to realize through it was that God is Triune, and at that time I had been previously blinded to that understanding because of a teaching I was indoctrinated in as a JW. There were other realizations that I came to through it, too. It was a very personal and spiritually awakening experience. Because of how powerful it was, I pondered it much and still ponder over it in my heart. At first, I thought maybe I was going bananas, and in a way, I was. I was broken, but I was blessed in that. I consider this experience a spiritual awakening and vision. Like I said earlier, though, it can take some time and effort to make sense of these experiences. One thing that really helped was to keep faithfully checking God's Word for the insights and understandings to become more clear and confirmed for me in my heart.
  10. We have a 1611 KJV and it has the apocrypha books in it, too.
  11. Your laughter is contagious... I have had a belly aching laughter over your reaction to this story... Thank You!!! I needed that!
  12. My favorite bible study resource is e-sword. You can look into and compare various translations like the ALT, ASV, ESV, KJV, NASB, etc., along with the Hebrew and Greek with concordance references, and look at certain commentaries. Any resource that enables you to do that makes for a wonderful bible study resource. We have multiple translations of the bible in our home also, but the one I tend to use the most is the NASB Ryrie Study Bible. The NIV is especially controversial because of the use of paraphrases. I don't use it often, but we have the bible on cd's that are from an NIV translation. We bought that before we knew much of anything about the translation controversies.
  13. I will be the first to admit that I could be completely and totally wrong about this. This is what makes the most sense to me. When I look to the fruit of what other interpretations bring I am not reminded of God. I see hatred, division, pride, and arrogance. From the perspective I have submitted I find it calls us to be humble, called to love one another, called to become one voice used by God. and my wife tells me I go in circles all the time God Bless, K.D. Reminds me of a song by Billy Preston, "Will it go round in circles?"
  14. Huh?! Non existant time is not for ever it is eternity...? God does not live in a time flow as we do...... there is no time there...... no begining and no ending it just 'is'. The way you worded it at the end sounded nonsensical to me, because I was equating forever with eternity. I understand and agree with what you mean in general. I looked up the definitions of forever and eternity just to see if I was using the definitions correctly and here is what it said... Forever From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia forever: [from for + ever, i.e. for always] The concept of something existing beyond the flow of time, or retaining its status for an infinite or for an indefinite, or undetermined, period of time. On a universal scale very few concepts, if any, are truly forever. Proponents of a closed universe believe that even time itself will have an end. See Eternity. ****************** Eternity From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia For other senses of the word "eternity", see eternity (disambiguation). While in the popular mind, eternity often simply means existing for an Everlasting, i.e., limitless, amount of time, many have used it to refer to a timeless existence altogether outside of time. ...turns out we were using different definitions. I think God is able to step into the concept of time while existing outside of it. I yes, but, in my concept He can be at the beginning and the end at the same time in your concept. When you exist outside the linear time line we exist in, you can see a persons birth and death at the same time, and know every single moment of that persons life before we even know of the next moment. God hated Esau even before he was born the Bible says..... It's because he knew what Esau was long before he was even born..... but it's Esau that made himself what he was. It's a little spooky to think about that, but the Bible talks of it and both Hyper Dimensional Physics and string theory physics predicts it from what little I have read about them. Ah yes, he is the Alpha and the Omega, who is, who was, and who is to come, the Eternal One. I do believe we agree.

  16. Also tends to show how God know how we turn out on the day we were born. He is not bound by time as we are, so he can see the whole life as a single point which is interesting to me. Eternity really is not for ever....... it's non existant time. Huh?! Non existant time is not for ever it is eternity...?
  17. What I noticed shifted was the way I interacted with old friends and family members as I became closer to God. You can't help but have this happen with people who are not. This definately changed the dynamics of all my relationships, creating enmity and fellowships where there was none. I still want to show His love and care for all people and am actually more capable of doing that in His ways than my old ways. We are to love the person while abhoring sin. This can be a delicate balancing act. We should take care to not hate the person. This does not demonstrate the love of God. Friendships, in the sense that Yeshua was teaching about them, will always be effected by our willingness to abide in His agape love. Joh 15:7 "If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you. Joh 15:8 "My Father is glorified by this, that you bear much fruit, and so prove to be My disciples. Joh 15:9 "Just as the Father has loved Me, I have also loved you; abide in My love. Joh 15:10 "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love. Joh 15:11 "These things I have spoken to you so that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full. Joh 15:12 "This is My commandment, that you love one another, just as I have loved you. Joh 15:13 "Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends. Joh 15:14 "You are My friends if you do what I command you. Joh 15:15 "No longer do I call you slaves, for the slave does not know what his master is doing; but I have called you friends, for all things that I have heard from My Father I have made known to you. Joh 15:16 "You did not choose Me but I chose you, and appointed you that you would go and bear fruit, and that your fruit would remain, so that whatever you ask of the Father in My name He may give to you. Joh 15:17 "This I command you, that you love one another. Joh 15:18 "If the world hates you, you know that it has hated Me before it hated you. Joh 15:19 "If you were of the world, the world would love its own; but because you are not of the world, but I chose you out of the world, because of this the world hates you. Joh 15:20 "Remember the word that I said to you, 'A slave is not greater than his master.' If they persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they kept My word, they will keep yours also. Joh 15:21 "But all these things they will do to you for My name's sake, because they do not know the One who sent Me. God Bless
  18. All our kids get the 'ster' added to their names...Amber becomes The Amster, Daniel becomes The Danster...terrifying toddler boy that he can be , and Johnathan, the sweet little 10M old baby is none other than...............Johnster The Monster! Mommy either turns into the Huggie Kissy Momster or the Tickle Momster. Daddy is the Mobster...JK...he is really honeydew...ster!
  19. Yeah, dad used to call me David when he would get me and my brothers names mixed up. My mom would say Heatheraah... ...with a thick Korean accent. Unique, I know...
  20. Hi Starinhand, You are getting lots of good counsel right now from brothers and sisters at Worthy. As many of them also recognized, I also recognized I was once subject to occultic influences and God truthfully loved me out from under it, as He does anyone who believes in their hearts in His Word becoming flesh. This life is found in His only begotten Son, Emannuel, which means God with us. For now, please pray continually while getting into His Word and let Him lead you. I don't know if you have the Holy Scriptures, so I wanted to share a few verses with you to pray over in your heart and mind. Psa 23:1 A Psalm of David. The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. Psa 23:2 He makes me lie down in green pastures; He leads me beside quiet waters. Psa 23:3 He restores my soul; He guides me in the paths of righteousness For His name's sake. Psa 23:4 Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I fear no evil, for You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me. Psa 23:5 You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; You have anointed my head with oil; My cup overflows. Psa 23:6 Surely goodness and lovingkindness will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Psa 27:7 Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice, And be gracious to me and answer me. Psa 27:8 When You said, "Seek My face," my heart said to You, "Your face, O LORD, I shall seek." Psa 27:9 Do not hide Your face from me, Do not turn Your servant away in anger; You have been my help; Do not abandon me nor forsake me, O God of my salvation! Psa 27:10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me, But the LORD will take me up. Psa 27:11 Teach me Your way, O LORD, And lead me in a level path Because of my foes. Psa 27:12 Do not deliver me over to the desire of my adversaries, For false witnesses have risen against me, And such as breathe out violence. Psa 27:13 I would have despaired unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD In the land of the living. Psa 27:14 Wait for the LORD; Be strong and let your heart take courage; Yes, wait for the LORD. For further consideration, please go to the links for more biblical counsel. Is there activity of demonic spirits in the world today? What does the Bible say about ghosts / hauntings? Joh 3:16 "For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life. God Bless
  21. I don't know all those specifics in her case. According to the article, she claims she did file the needed exemption paperwork and she still has her copy but the school district does not have it for whatever the reasons are. She was a not a suspect or charged with neglect and/or abuse from what we are told in the article, but if she was doing that then that would be a seperate issue. The concern that I think is being raised here is if the school does not have the exemption papers for whatever reason (lost in the mail, misplaced, etc..) can they force you to enroll your kids in public schools? I have always mailed out the homeschool exemption papers via regular mail. It could happen to anyone who has sent their forms in this way. That is what this case appears to be about and why I think it is worth noting. I don't want to get too off topic here, but let me just add that I believe certain chemical dependencies can be harmful and dangerous. Once one starts using them, they would need to to be careful if they try getting off of them, because of the bodily changes that can occur from their use. I have read articles of how some of them are supposed to disturb the use of the frontal lobe in the brain. Someone I knew, after decades of using all sorts of psychotropic drugs that were prescribed to him, went into the hospital for a surgery. They overlooked that he was taking certain psychotropic medications and neglected to give them to him for a couple of days. When he was visited after the surgery, he was in his hospital bed on the phone talking and it wasn't plugged in or on. When asked who he was talking to, he said it was Jesus.
  22. I agree. But I'm not going to give up my toilet paper, Christmas lights, Hanukkah candles, or breathing to "save the planet." Oh yeah....and I'm still going to eat beef. I don't care how much they fart or burp either. Nor should anyone be forced to, but I think the possibility that they could is very real, especially through economic means and other under the table tactics. I agree with the obligation to practice good stewardship over the earth, but I believe too many of its advocates have every intention of blowing global warming so far out of proportion and are using that as propaganda to procure over extensive governmental dominion and power over the world. I have even found myself entertaining the possibilty that certain technologies might be used to make the earth's temperature warm up, just to try to lay the blame on all sort of other nonfactors, like the fact that we breath and eat.
