Perhaps Jesus did want women to have an "equal" role in the Christian Church. But if so, he didn't bother to "lead by example" did he?

She was full of good works and kind deeds which she did. Some disciples were women. The apostles were men. That doesnt mean women are less than men. Before my salvation, I was a tough feminist. That the apostles were men and not women has never bothered me. I am secure in the knowledge that He sees women as beloved children as much as He sees men that way. Please note that Im a chat admin, on equal terms with the male chat admins. In His service, Im where He wants me, and quite content to serve. I am not some second class lesser being than any of the Christian men.

But if so, he didn't bother to "lead by example" did he? You know, it just struck me that you are talking about roles. (Thats what I get for typing while eating dinner lol.) Men and women have roles in the church, each to do their part. The roles they have doesnt mean women are lesser than men, it only means they have different roles.
