So then you believe that God exists? I thought you needed proof.

Have you ever felt there was somthing more, somthing deeper than we understand, somthing more than random chance, or natural process that makes us who we are? What defines us? Intuition is a part of your human spirit.

Or all of the spirit? How can consciousness outlive its body, when we know the mind is clearly tied to the brain? What a difficult subject! Very interesting to think about! When trying to comprehend something as elusive as the Spirit, my mind turns to this thought. Try to take yourself to the edge of the universe...What is there? A wall? If so, what is this wall made of. If not a wall, then maybe more space? But wouldn't that just be a continuation of the universe itself? My point is this: Trying to comprehend something that big and that infinite is impossible for our finite minds. We certainly can't comprehend God, what makes us think we can understand the Spirit? One of the greatest pro arguments for Intelligent Design is our conscienceness. Men have tried very hard to divert away from a Creator with creative inventions such as this one: I cannot recall the name of this philosopher, but he proposed that our conscienceness sprang from early man eating hallucinating plants(sorry can't spell that one...where's word when you need it? ) and slowly forming what we now call a "conscienceness". This is a very summarized explanation, but my point is simple: We just can't understand it. I think that during these times of obsessive burdens of truth thrown on believers and nonbelievers alike, we forget about faith. You must take a leap of faith to believe in God. If it were obvious, then we would have no free will to deny him. He gives us free will by somewhat hiding himself, only giving enough clues (such as the bible) to believe with well founded beliefs that He truly exists. This could spring up an entirely different argument (which is not what I wish to do), so I'll leave it at this: Jesus never asked us to understand eternity, only to believe that it exists.
