Dear Hearts

Clearly Genesis Chapter One tells of six twenty-four hour days. :emot-hug:

And, clearly 2 Peter 3:8 tells of God's timing for His judgment (I think?). :emot-hug:

"But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men."

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day."

"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."

"But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in the which the heavens shall pass away with a great noise, and the elements shall melt with fervent heat, the earth also and the works that are therein shall be burned up."

(2 Peter 3:7-10 )

Should a warning about God's patience and the coming judgment really be used to change the clear words of Genesis Chapter One? :emot-hug:

What do you think? :emot-hug:

Hmm. this was a tuff one, I believe mabie 6000 years, because we are bound by time, in the begining there was no time, and isn't a day to God 1000 years to us?

The scripture says why: The banishment was so they could not eat of the tree of life in their fallen state.

Then why not just remove the tree?

Indeed he did move the tree eventually, as pointed out, the tree of life is in heaven now.

AK, is something wrong? You seem extremely...brief...compared to normal for your posts. Just wondering, sorry if I'm prying.

Then if He removed it from this earth, doesn't that defeat your initial reason for banishment from the Garden? :21:

And the evening and the morning were the first day.

And the evening and the morning were the second day.

And the evening and the morning were the third day.

And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.

And the evening and the morning were the fifth day.

And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.

How many actual mornings and evenings are in a day?

ONE

Day=24 hour period, just as it remains to this day.

I have a question.

If someone accepted Christ as their Lord and Savior on monday and died on tuesday, would they be allowed to enter the Kingdom of God?

This individual knew nothing of God but truly believed in his heart that Christ died for his sins and God knew that his repentance was genuine, would this person be allowed to enter the Kingdom of God?

Of course he would be allowed to enter.

It's kind of like that saying, you are what you eat, man ate of the tree of knowledge, it entered him, and became apart of him, leaving our flesh sinful.

From John MacArthur

The Bible claims the earth was created in six days, the seventh day God rested. Now that
