I really wanted replies from people who is/was an Eastern Star, not people who make an opinion on what they have read. I have read some cons/pros, but I wanted to know from christians who are/were eastern stars, their point of view. Personally I would stay away from it. My husband WAS a 32nd degree mason for many years but also denounced it due to his biblical beliefs.

What's it about? From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia The Order of the Eastern Star is the largest fraternal organization in the world that both men and women can join. It was established in 1850 by Robert Morris, a lawyer and educator from Boston, Massachusetts who had been an official with the Freemasons. It is based on teachings from the Bible, but is open to people of all monotheistic faiths. It has approximately 10,000 chapters in twenty countries and approximately one million members under its General Grand Chapter. Members of the Order are aged 18 and older; men must be Master Masons and women must have specific relationships with Masons. Originally, a woman would have to be the daughter, widow, wife, sister, or mother of a master Mason, but the Order now allows other relatives as well as allowing Rainbow Girls to become members when they come of age. During the juror selection My mother volunteered the information that she was a memember of this group; it was a african American on trial; the judge dismissed her right away. So sounds like there is a problem with this group to me. P.S I wouldn't trust Wicked pieda that on-line encylopidea, I viewed a CNN article stating that some of it's information is questionable.
