Amen Eric! I agree. I am a nurse in a mental health ward. I work with people who have murdered family members, pedophiles, ect... Not a "nice" bunch of people if you know what I mean? But people who need the Lord nonetheless. And also a lot of the staff i work with are open gays and lesbians. But i find a place there for me to live out my Christian walk. Oh yea, ive been ridiculed by some of them, others are very nice and have inquired of me from time to time about the Lord. It is where i believe God has placed me to be His light in their dark world.

You are correct mizzdy. Most people go to church on Sunday to worship God, do they not? I simply stated there is nothing wrong with that or to go worship Him any day of the week. I stated that even though we are free to worship God any day of the week, the Sabbath day is still Saturday. I know that it is the day of rest. I never said it was not.

I can only say that God built the 7 day week into the order of the universe. In our Bibles, the Sabbath God instituted is called the 7th day. The Day Yeshua was resurrected from the dead is called the 1st day. We go by the Greek calender which has names for each day of the week, Where as the Jewish calender is different. But, for thousands of years the Jews have kept the 7th day Sabbath starting at sundown on Friday(our greek calender) to sundown on Saturday. In Gen we find that God rested on the 7th day and sanctified it. In Exodus 16:22 we read where on the 6th day the children of Israel gathered twice as much bread in preparation for the Sabbath day. I know that our Bibles use the terminology "the 1st day, the 6th day, the 14th day ect... instead of saying Sat, Sunday, Wed, ect.. And this must be because of Jewish reckoning of the days that make up a week. And since this has been handed down from Generation to Generation, i believe the Sabbath to be from sundown on Friday to sundown on Saturday. I have no doubts about it. Someone else here could probably give you a much better answer for your question. Hope this helped in some way though.

Sister Lori, Bless you beloved, I too have suffered with this as also my mom and sister. I have now been off my medication for 8 years but I thank God that there was some medication to help me. Not that Our Great Physician cannot, and He has helped me sooo much Praise His name. I know that Satan likes to attack our minds but being a nurse i also know that we can suffer from chemical imbalances as well, not to mention hormonal imbalances ect... That being said however, it is wrong to say that God changed the Sabbath day that He instituted from Saturday to Sunday. The 7th day of the week is still the Sabbath day God instituted, but we are free to worship Him everyday.

To answer your question about the Holy Spirit, i believe its because most people follow thier denomination and the traditions brought down by those denominations. They do not necessarily Listen or Hear what the Holy Spirit has to say. They listen to what their Priest or Pastors tell them and trust what they tell them to be true. In other words, there are a lot of people who do not search out the scriptures as the Bereans did in Pauls day to see if what is being taught is truth. But i will give you an example of someone among many others who did. In Eusebius' "Ecclesiastical History", there is the record of the following letter written by an elder, Polycrates, to the Victor of the church of Rome: "We, therefore, observe the genuine day; neither adding thereto nor taking therefrom. For in Asia great lights have Fallen Asleep, which shall rise again in the day of the Messiahs appearing, in which He will come with esteem from the heavens, and will raise up all the saints; Philip, one of the 12 apostles, who sleeps in Hierapolis, and his 2 aged virgin daughters. His other daughter, also, who having lived under the influence of the Holy Spirit, now likewise rests in Ephesus; Moreover, John, who rested on the bosom of our Messiah; who also was a priest, and bore the sacerdotal plate, both a martyr and a teacher. He is buried in Ephesus; Also Polycarp of Smyrna, both elder and martyr of Eumenia, who is buried at Smyrna. Why should I mention Sagaris, elder and martyr, who rests at Laodicea? Here is an elder who saw the changes and wrote to another elder who was being carried away by "winds" of doctrine. Here he mentions the Feast of Unleavened bread as Paul also mentions "Let us therefore celebrate the Feasts, speaking of this same Feast. Remember how Paul wept and pleaded with the elders for years (Acts 20), knowing that these things would come after he was gone. The assemblies were turning aside to "myths". I do not think the Holy Spirit has been quite in these matters but that people do not search out what they have been taught.

Again, God the Fathers appointed times, Passover-the Lamb Yeshua sacrificed during this season of the Lord, Firstfruits-Yeshua raised from the dead during this season of the Lord. The Feasts of the Lord your God are His Feasts, not to be changed or taken over by man-made traditions.

These are His set-appointed times, not for any man to change.

Martin Luther Protested the Catholic Church but He was an anti-semite. Also, When Massachusetts became a state, they would not allow Jews to live there. The Presbyterian church does not support Israel but do support the Palestenians. Some Protestant churches teach dual-covenant theology and that to me is false. and there is much more evidence that the Protestant church has not been all that gracious to the Jewish people.

Oh My Yod! I think that is so evil. I saw the famous statue of King David ,by i think it was Michael Angelo, and what struck me was that the statue was "uncircumcised. I would like to comment on Jedi4Yahwehs statement about the New Covenant being for Israel and Not Many receiving it. I for one believe that Many did received it in the beginning. In Acts 21:20 James tells Paul "You see, brother, how 'Many Myriads' of Jews there are who have believed, and they are all zealous for the law;" But as Yod pointed out, European influences crept into the original church and pushed the believing Jews aside. Just how i see it.

Ah, the Western mindset. How to "go to church" instead of "being the church". Two thirds of the world dont even have shoes, so what would you say to those poor souls? My point being in Joshua 5:10 really has to do with Firstfruits in that the manna that God gave from heaven during the days in the wilderness ceased the 16th day of Nisan after the people ate of the old corn of the land. The day following was the 17th of Nisan, the day when the children of Israel ate the fruits of the promised land. Firstfruits being themeatic of resurrection and salvation. It is my opnion that Yeshua was slain on the 14th of Nisan, and He arose from the grave on the 17th of Nisan, the day of the Festival of First Fruits.

Yeshua died on the 14th of Nisan. The Jews had to hurry to put His body in the tomb because the sabbath was drawing near. But this is not the weekly sabbath. This Sabbath was a High Sabbath and the 1st day of Unleavened Bread(Nisan 15). A High Sabbath in Hebrew is called a Shabbaton. During Passover, there is an extra sabbath besides the weekly Sabbath. This can be found in John 19:31. This would mean that Yeshua died on the 14th of Nisan, the day of Passover. Yeshua was in the tomb the day following His crucifixon, which was the 15th of Nisan, the 1st day of Unleavened bread. The Feast of Unleavened Bread was so much a part of Passover that the names of Passover and Unleavened Bread were used interchangeably or almost synonymously. The Feast of Unleavened Bread is the 15th of the Month of Nisan which is the day following Passover. Israels annual feasts- Passover- 14th day of Nisan (abib) Unleavened Bread 15th day of Nisan (abib) Firstfruits 17th day of Nisan (abib) The theme for the Festival of Firstfruits is resurrection and salvation. For instance Noahs ark rests on Mt. Ararat Gen 8:4 "Then the ark rested on the 7th month, the 17th day of the month, on the mountains of Ararat. Therefore you shall observe THIS DAY thruout your generations as an everlating ordinance. 3 days journey after the Passover, 15, 16 17. In Joshua 5"10-12 we find that on the 16th day of Nisan The manna that God gave the children of Israel had ceased. Now the children of Israel camped in Gilgal, and kept the Passover on the 14th day of the month at twilight on the plai and parched grains of Jerico. And the ate of the produce of the land on the day after Passover (15th) unleavened bread on the very same day(15th) Then the manna CEASED on the day after they had eaten the produce of the land (16th) and the children of Israel no longer had manna, but they ate the food of the land of Canaan that year. The day following the 16th was the 17th (very elementary) and it was on the 17th day of Nisan that the children of Israel ate the First fruits of the Promised Land. Does anyone here see the picture of our Messiah in this? Lets look at Esther where Haman is defeated. Remember the Theme for the Feasts of Firstfruits is Resurrection and Salvation. A decree was sent out on the 13th day of Nisan that all the Jews should be killed. 3:12 Ester proclaims a 3 day fast after hearing this which would be Nisan 14-16 (Esther 4:16 On the 16th day she risks her life by going to the king unannounced. She proclaims to the king "If it please the king, may the king and Haman come this day to the banquet that i have prepared for him" Esther 5:4 This was on the 16th day of Nisan. Then Esther asked the king to come the next day (17th Nisan) for another banquet. On this day Haman a type of antichrist is hanged. SALVATION for the Jews. And of course The resurrection of Yeshua, the Messiah. Yeshua celebrated the festival of Firstfruits by offering Himself as the first fruits to all future generations. Yeshua was slain on the tree on the day of Passover, the 14th of Nisan and He arose from the grave 3 days and nights after He was slain, Yeshua arose from the grave on the 17th day of Nisan, the Day of the Festival of FirstFruits. The Feasts and Festivals given to us by God are very important for they are His appointed times. Like Christmas that falls every 25th of December and we all know Christmas does not fall on the SAME day each year, so Passover is also moveable. It does not fall on the same day Each year. Now Easter has a set day each year, Sunday of course preceded by "Good Friday" but this was instituted by the Church of Rome. It set the day. So that each year it is different than the Passover of each year. Why is that? Why does the Church seperated itself from Gods appointed times?

I agree that Yeshua was most likely crucified on Wed or Thurs. Could it be that the Catholic Church says Friday because they wanted to seperate themselves and others from learning about the Feasts of the Lord? Or did they not know themselves?

In a sense, the two kingdoms are in existence right now. They are the wheat and the tares. It is the kingdom of light and the kingdom of darkness. But when Yeshua comes to rule, there will only be ONE kingdom and ONE King.
