If this is true may I ask if you have scriptural references for this belief.

Guest muttly
Well enoch if we are talking about personal preferences then i think listening to organ music is akin to reruns of dracula movies, and as interesting as listening to the daily blurts from the mosque ( I'm surrounded by them here!) maybe watching grass grow is more interesting. Actually where in the Bible does it say that organs are to be used in worship ? ( arguement to counter the guiter arguement). What music is good? only harps and lyres? well then must we only wear togas as well? What must your church look like? must it have a cross on the top? Would a church that meets in a local heathen school be sinful also? c'mon get real. The guitar is an instrument. we can use the instrument for good or for bad. As has been said before, "there is no such thing as Christian music, just Christian lyrics." I believe that some of our hymns actually got their tune from "bar" songs, and the lyrics by Christian men and women. It was a way to spread the Gospel hundreds of years ago. I just hope that bands aren't just trying to convey a Christian image. I recently saw an interview with a popular Canadian band. When asked a question concerning why they sang "Christian" songs, they had no comment. I have also heard that they don't make it a point to share the Gospel message at any of their concerts. On the bright side, for every one band like that in the Christian market, there are dozens of legitimate ones. Third Day does some great preaching.
