His minions are everywhere though, and they are looking to try to trip us up. LT Cajunboy::::I have to go with "Maniac" on his response to "Everywhere," even though we know that satan is allowed minions to assist him, because each of us has the ability to commit sin without the assistance of a Minion ! If and when one decides to turn his hatred on God and is not assisted by anyone, he is making a "free will" determination on his own accord and by his own mind. While satan was not granted the abilities to read our hearts and mind, he does have the ability of knowledge of our past sins and errors and can always rely on the fact that when we stray from God's side for even a moment we can be convicted or attacked by satan. He steadily points out our mistakes and accuses us before God....I get a picture in my mind of him pointing his finger and saying...look at that one sin he doesn't love you, look at what he just did how can he be a child of God...and so on. But he doesn't quite understand (yet) the power in the blood of Christ spilled on the cross.
