I was thrilled to find Worthy Boards!!! I love praying for people's needs and I love to encourage others. Also, I am physically disabled and this provides me with an outlet to touch others lives with the love of God. It helps me to know that I can do something useful. Here is my question....and yes it may be a silly one.....How do you get to know other people here when there are so many people who are members and they have been here....some...for years. I have been here a little more than a week. The boards are huge!!! Some posts I am just not smart enough to answer. So, please...can anyone give me some suggestions? In His Love, Kathy Hi there, Kathy. Just my 2 cents worth.... making friends on the internet is just like making friends in face to face situations. It takes time to build relationships. You'll find areas that interest you and you'll connect with others in those interest threads. And there will be areas you don't find interesting. For example, me - I steer mostly clear of the controversial thread. I just don't like the drama/debate, I think because for me, relationship with God is such a personal thing, and so many things feel like an attack in there. Then there are those who love being in there and debating and fellowshiping in that way and they develop friendships in spite of their different opinions. You'll find connections with people on subject matter that interests you. The one thing I can say is that Worthy is a fantastic place to make friends. I'm still a newbie - only joined a few months back, but everyone is very welcoming and encouraging and fun. So, jump in where you feel comfortable and you'll be making friends in no time.
