I am probably dating myself here, but I remember that. I also remember reading a couple of fairly good "end of the world as we know it" type novels based on that premise. Now, all this climate change stuff reminds me of God's promise not to flood the world again after Noah's Flood. He did leave Himself plenty of other options, though. Fire, ice, hail, earthquakes, hurricanes, and that central plains favorite: the tornado. God's still in control, so I'm not going to worry about it too much.
