We were asked to give the dimensions of the Milky Way. I drew a picture of a Milky Way bar and provided approximate dimensions for it. I got 50% credit for creativity. The last time I saw the milky way was about twenty years ago way out in the middle of nowhere.....Copper Breaks, Texas. We sat out under the stars and WOW, I have never seen anything like it before or since. It was breath taking and almost frightening to see so many shooting stars. The closest I ever came to that again was after a hurricane when all the electricity was off but it still wasn't the same as that one magic night. Well.....I'm going to give your link a try. ...........Whirlwind

Guest
Getting away from the city lights is a major problem any more. It wrecks the seeing. Spent some time with friends on their boat (their retirement home) and we were about sixty miles offshore in the Gulf of Mexico on a moonless, clear night. Great seeing that night.
