The dvd's were a different region code (#4 and our dvd player is #1 or All and must use NTSC system)and then there is the color system, which is either NTSC or PAL. Ebay sellers have dvd players that are advertised to be able to play any dvd, irregardless of region coding or color systems. My next dvd player purchase will be one of these.
